I have a new glady Rubi diesel, bottoms out on everything. My old gas JTR didnt do this. Pretty bad look for jeep for a 60k vehicle to not think about the correct spring rate @JeepCares

Kate, @JeepCares

Do you have VINS for everyone who answered the poll? Jeep needs to remedy this. Almost 70 recorded above.

I’ve had my JTRD for a little over a week and it has bottomed out on me a half dozen times already. One spot on my way home from work does it every time….it’s at an intersection where I’m going less than 10 MPH over the small drain channel, maybe 2in lower than the road surface.

Three people with Overlands voted yes.

What options do you have, and what's the part number on the front coil spring tags, and what's the part number on your shocks?

I'd like to see what is different from mine, because mine is optioned pretty heavily with zero issues since the day I took delivery.

I have a high altitude diesel which window sticker states it is an Overland. Like the Max Tow (sport) it has the wide track axles.
My truck road horrible from day one, I have stated here many times. if this point I have already lifted with teraflex 3.5" spring, change front bump stops with the JKS ACOS spacers, ALCA, add with Fox resi shocks, AEV geo brackets. truck rides firm now but still try to avoid potholes!

Remember that just because most respondents have Rubicons doesn't mean that the Rubicon has more of a problem.
Part of that is because more rubicons are sold with diesels than any other model.

Tip - you'll need to keep this thread very visible as unless it's in the "recent posts" or hottest threads, etc. - someone not here for a couple of days may not see it, and those who have no problems may not see it, skewing your results.
People will only search for "diesel bottoming out" if they have the problem.
I don't normally like "bumps" for the sake of bumping - but keeping a poll like this at the top where all can see it is key to your getting the best true numbers.

Good luck (honestly) - and WXMan has a great post - a couple of details regardless of if you do have the problem or not may help diesel JT owners get a solution that much faster!

This reminds me that one of the reasons there isn't a Mojave diesel is the extra frame strengthening it would take to make a diesel be able to do "Mojave" things.
