I am about to install mine and cannot decide between the 1 or 1.5 inch. I also plan on going with the Mopar stubby bumper from the plastic one after the level. It looks like you have the steel bumper and a winch and the 1" brought it pretty level. From your experience, do you think the 1" alone will bring it pretty close to level with the steel stubby bumper? Do you still have a rake with the 1" puck? I just don't want to install the kit twice so trying to determine which way to go. Thank you.

A joke was made in another thread about Gladiator owners who don't put a lift kit on, being considered Philistines by the 'lifted' crowd and I thought maybe we could have our own thread here. I bought my Sport-S about 3 weeks ago and I love it. Not that I don't want larger tires, I surely do, but a lift kit isn't in my foreseeable future. It's just too much money for the lift, then for new wheels to accommodate bigger tires. When I wear my tires out in a couple of years, I'll be buying the 285/70R17's which will get me to about a 33'' tire, but until then, I'm perfectly happy running stock.

That doesn't mean I don't partake in other mods, I've converted the entire front set of lights to LED's and I'll be looking at doing other things as well.

When I bought mine, I was looking for a good 4wd for when the weather gets sideways here and something that would ride better than the Ram 2500 I had (10k suspension rode like a bitch). It needed to tow the boat and a utility trailer, which it does beautifully. The wife and I both love this truck. No need to lift or put bigger tires on, as it does exactly what I need it to do as is.

I still had a tiny bit of forward rake when measured, but it's not visually obvious. WIth a small trailer, or some load in the bed, it would then measure out level. So I think it was idea. I'm not sure how to assess the difference in bumpers, and the fact that I also have a winch. I don't think it would make a huge difference. Even standing on the bumper isn't a monstrous change.

That was my thought, both visually, and functionally. I would hate the back being low. That looks so stupid, and also does affect handling.

No, the shock is still functioning normally. You're just not gaining any downward travel, but ride quality is the same.

i do not plan to lift my '22 Sport, when i get it, in the foreseeable future, but i do have a 1.5" leveling kit and a set of 285/70R17's waiting

Well according to this thread, a 1.5” lvl kit is a lift as I’ve found out so welcome to the anticipated lift club!

So this may be he most philistine of all, my jeep came without the little plastic pieces that connect the sport bumper to the fenders blocking the air into the wheel well. I'm seriously considering purchasing those for the extra imaginary mpg gains. I figure they are probably the most removed piece from a stock jeep so if anyone has them as take offs I'd pay shipping for them

I got a set of 2in spacers I was going to install in my JT to account for the additional stuff in / on it. But ended up instead putting in airbags. So maybe down the road quite some time I might rethink them, but front too.

I thought I would give an update, I did install a Teraflex leveling kit, raised the front 1.5 inches, but no lift and none in the foreseeable future. If I spend hard money on anything, it will be on a regear to 4.88. I very recently went to 33 inch Falken Wildpeak AT tires and I think it really improves the look of the entire truck. If I ever get to regear, I'll move up to 35 inch tires.

Yep, cheap Rubi wheels and tires got me close enough. Maybe I'll get the mopar lift at some point, but I doubt it'll ever get to the point of me actually writing a check for it.
