Are you saying.. go with HPG as an aftermarket option for someone switching from regular glass to GG ? I wonder if you have GG from the factory, could you take it to HPG for warranty/replacement and then be able to take advantage of HPGs better customer service from that point on ?
Yes to the first part. I originally was not so keen on this as I wasn't sure what FCA's guidelines were on the factory GG. Now that I know I would absolutely tell someone to forgo factory and go aftermarket solely based on CS.

As for having factory GG warrantied via HGP, I highly doubt that would be a thing.

HGP is the aftermarket, correct?
But isn't corning the supplier of originals?
Do replacements/after-market come with the Jeep easter egg in lower right? Or just originalls?
My guy in Corning said it was them who "released product" - implying that Jeep was buying their glass while HGP is an after-market replacement supplier?????

OEM Mopar glass does. Otherwise you can buy the sticker online.

The mopar 2 year warranty that you are all citing is for an aftermarket install or replacement of a GG windshield.

I've spent time looking and I can find nothing in any documentation that provides for a warranty for the original windshield against road hazards.

So let’s say it is $900US. That’s like 6 windshields for me in Canada, one clear view windshield per year. Will the outer layer of the GG withstand 6 years of sandblasting if it was to never catch a bad rock in that time?
The GG is the inside layer of glass. It won't have anything to do with sand blast protection...

Someone in another thread said they paid just over $900 (USD, I think)
Windshields on simple search are $300+/- for generic, $550+/- on OEM (with the little Easter Egg) and close to $900 on Gorilla Glass...

After market is not a very good trade to me given they (appear) to crack just like any windshield (luck of the draw)...@ 900$ after market for GG I'll take 3 of the generic @ 300$ especially after seeing this BS spin-job by Mopar.

Yep, I ordered the GG with my Mojave to be delivered in January or so. At 200$ not a bad trade, at 900$ that is "insane" imo...

In reality, with the new truck I'll run full glass coverage for several years and if I get a crack replace it with WTH my insurance company tells me is covered. I doubt that will be GG (which cracks anyway - lol).

New GG shield installed today. I was so happy, but then the sunlight caught it in a certain way and I can see imperfections IN the glass. I thought it was something I could wipe off but no, it’s in between the layers. As soon as I pulled in the shade it disappeared. I guess I’ll see what it looks like tomorrow. So annoying. Looks like little clusters of bubbles and a line below them.

I would have them replace it (now) before they blame it on you! That has to be a defect,

I have GG coming on my new Mojave, but based on this thread I have to conclude it was a $195 "hoax" - lol.

I only somewhat have. My GG is not factory but from HPG. A month into having mine there was a near perfect line crack on the driver side from the hood to the roof. It was perfectly in line with where my wiper stops coincidentally.

I contacted HPG and they sent out a replacement immediately.

Having an OEM GG warranty is great, but I am more than happy with how HPG handled my issue.
When you say HPG, do you mean the HGP (Hyperformance glass)? I’m not being a smart ass on acronyms. I didn’t know what HPG was so when I googled I saw the hyperformance and I’m guess that’s what you meant. Just curious!

I did, I mix up the acronym so much that I might as well put both in my posts LOL

Anyone know of the warranty cover one replacement? I already had my gg replaced by the dealer for a chip. Just got another last night that’s bigger than the last. Can I take it for a warranty claim or did I already use my warrany? Not sure how it works with the windshield warranty.

I would think every install restarts the warranty period on that item.

FYI the Warranty only covers a one time replacement, verified with 3 dealers.
