It's cold again. Guess who's back? Old St. Death Wobble. (edit-Not true DW, just a big shimmy)

Like clockwork, when it gets a bit chilly, the wobs come on strong. Same thing in my last 2 JKs as well. Luckily I can usually just accelerate out of it, but still so annoying that it likes to come back from the dead during winter. I'm 95% certain my wobble is tire-related, as the cold 37s simply don't cooperate with the cold weather.

Anyone else have wobbling only when it's cold?

Does it go away after your tires warm up?

Tis the season for death wobble threads I guess... seriously feels like Groundhog day when I open the forum page this week :) There are now (3) DW thread updates this week. OP I hope you get sorted out before it gets dangerous.

Sorry to stray from topic at hand…just came back from SoCal this week. Agree it was “cold-ish for the area” - but not really cold to those of us that grew up in snow country. Heck, that’s one reason I moved to the Pacific Northwest - it rarely gets below 35 where we are. Below that is when it is just starting to get cold! ?

Back to the topic - interesting there could be a correlation to the temperature drop. There are some other threads talking about bushing squeaks and ride changes as the colder weather hits. Makes me wonder a bit. ?

Oh yeah, I'm in the Palm Springs area. It drops to the high 30s at night. I have to wear a jacket now with my shorts and sandals, it's miserable. The cold always brings out the wobs. Not sure if it's metal shrinking if even a bit. Our summers breach 120 so it's a big swing, and there has to be some effect on the metal/bushings/fluids/etc. Every year is the same, and I've just gotten used to it.

That's about what it warmed up to today here in Syracuse, so I put the top down and went to play golf

And that's why I left Watertown for SoCal! I'm thin-skinned now.

Ha lol, yeah my wife and I are starting to get there. I do love the snow, but I'm starting to get tired of the cold, not to mention the salt everywhere for months

LOL - jesting, right? I'll be happy when it hits 55 again.
We went from 73 on Wednesday to 36 now. The evening weather said a 40 degree drop in about 12 hours.
I think our highs are to be upper 30s for a while now.

So it definitely got cold last night… not quite the -16° they forecasted but the windchill made up for it… oh and my Jeep drove fine when I went to town for a burger. No wobbles.
