The steering wheel in my 20 JT gets so hot I usually turn it off once the cab is heated up.
Agree, unless it's single digit temps (Boston, MA) - I turn it of within 5 min or so. Same on my wife's '21 JT.

Have you ever seen a heated steering wheel with heat settings? I’m very familiar with luxury brands and I’ve never seen that before. Get over yourself or read a book if this is ignorance.
Correct. I've never seen it. We looked at an Audi S5 for my wife tis summer and it didn't have it. And Audis tend to have that kind of thing nailed.
My wife's '21 VW Tiguan has 3 levels of heat for the steering wheel, but you pre-select the level you want in the settings, it doesn't change each time you press the button. Her previous '18 Golf AllTrack had the same. I assume the Audi you test drove would be the same.

I’ve owned several Audis and none of them had it. Maybe it’s something added in the past few years. They reach a certain temp and maintain that temperature.

I guess I need to get mine looked at. Under warranty which is good. It will be interesting to see how they react. They're a good dealership and have always done right. This just falls into a category that can really be dismissed as subjective. If it turns on and warms up I bet they're going to send me packing. The saving grace would be some procedure they have to take the temp of the wheel and determine if it's heating properly. I think the latter idea is a bit fanciful but maybe I'm cynical.

That may be so. It's always interesting to see what random features they make available on a VW and not on the more expensive Audi version on the same platform.

Wow, talk about a harsh answer.
My Volvo has 3 settings on both the seats and steering wheel.
So, I guess because your so familiar with luxury brands and have never seen it before makes you some kind of expert?
Get over ā€˜yourself’.

I turned on my heated steering wheel this morning for the first time. It was plenty warm. Just about right. It was only about 30 out. Not very cold.

Mine feels good even in the summer. Can’t beat it when you have arthritis in your hands! Some areas of the wheel get hotter than others and this seems to migrate around some. But I like it!

I wish I took temp measurements in JLU, but that steering wheel would heat up to the point, if I held on tight to it, it would be almost too much.
Maybe this is why they changed it (if it was changed)? Generally supposed to be able to hold the steering wheel.

I will go heated steering wheel,
Been -40C here for the last two weeks, I wonder if that’s why it never feels hot?
So bring your Californian balls here and tell me you wouldn’t use the heated whee
l switch. :CWL:
Don't they collect balls at the border of California?

Californian balls. Hmmm. Just sounds like sushi to me.
