I'm about 3 oil changes in, bought two off amazon ($50) and one at the dealership ($100). The dealership purchase was because my order wasn't going to show up in time and I had to leave within a couple of days for Overland Expo.

I see now. Your running a diesel.

Can't be too different, I compared mine to the wix and they were nearly identical. Unless Mopar is using significantly different filter medium they're almost carbon copies.

The air filter is also a wix filter down to the same glue, pleat numbers, rubber etc.

Wix has two types of filter media, Cellulose and Synthetic. Cellulose is yellow, Synthetic is white. Wix lists the MOPAR OE # 68191349AB in their parts description.

$8.50 on the Zon, been using these for about 15,000 miles and 3 oil changes, no issues so far. The ad looks kinda sketch, but they come in an official looking mopar box.

Just a forewarning, that is the *AA version. Most of of the JT's came with the *AB version. Both are superseded by *AC which is SUPPOSED to be the fix for filter media twisting while tightening the filter cap.

Oh shoot I was thinking we need another oil thread it's been what a week.?
A really fun fact was in the USA at one time we had 3 plants that made oil and fuel filters, I had at least 5 family members that worked at one plant. I didn't have to buy many oil filters or fuel filters then, the big (main) difference between them was what day of the week the filter was made and painted. There was some the specifics different on a few like use of metal vs fiberboard ends on filter media and if how or if on anti drain back valve.
FYI: Champion Lab,
Growing up I had a choice in between working in Oil field, farming or 3 or 4 automotive parts plants or like. I chose option Army. ?

Cartridge filter. Top of engine. Nothing special except MOPAR thinks because it has their name on a Wix filter they can overcharge for it.

Really, Wix? Online the Wix is a white filter, and MOPAR yellow. Does Wix make it specifically for the 3.6L? Good to know.

Wix makes all kinds of filters........ and the company that owns Wix (Mann & Hummel) makes all sorts of filters for all kinds of companies like MOBIL 1, NAPA and others.
