I seem to get flashed every time I drive at night like I'm driving with my brights on. I don't feel like I should go adjusting the headlights from where the factory sets them, but I also don't want to go around blinding my fellow drivers.

sometimes, but not as much as I expect. if I throw a lift and/or leveling kit, I'd probably expect more (unless I do the proper thing and re-aim my lights).

most people get accustomed to the dark, then the first lights they see coming the other way blinds them, so they think it's high beams, when it's not.

i want to drag the light engineers of toyota and tesla through a field of broken glass, though. those lights are by far the worst aimed and worst light temperature for stock vehicles.

I must have missed where the OP's truck is lifted! ;) :) (just messin' with ya)

But please keep up the good work . . . good to have extra info.
Within that thread are links to other threads. There are people talk about them. Lights being misaligned from the factory.

No lift, stock tires, but 1.5" leveling kit to balance out the bumper/winch I added. Probably still a fraction of an inch higher than stock, so perhaps I need to adjust them. Feels like an area in which I wouldn't want to mess anything up though.

Adjusting the lights is easy.

Both my wife (JL) and I get high beam flashes all the time. We chalk it up to Floridians being especially dumb about driving around with their high beams on in the middle of the city for no reason, and the other drivers who actually know how/when to use them properly are just effing tired of it.

I don't blame people for being a little flash-happy when so many people have them on for no reason. But, that said, I flash them back. I'm kind of out of patience and respect for other drivers these days.

What people tend to forget, the road is not level. There are dips, bumps, hills, valleys.

Depending where each vehicle is in any of these scenarios it can make it seem like brights are on or headlights are out of adjustment.

If you get that one Ahole who wants to turn his brights on you from a long distance, then give him everything you have. They don't like my hi-beams with my small amber light bar at all.
