We even TOLD the sales guy we wanted the proximity locks. My wife's Grand Cherokees had them the last two times and when he went down the lift and mentioned them we both said YES. Twice it was mentioned. In the end he never got that box checked - so I added them myself. Glad I did. The dealer supposedly even got it added to my VIN so any flashes will put it right back.

I know that winter is a pain with this style Jeep headlight (recessed like a bucket, waiting to catch snow and ice) but I still like them - a lot.

woah look who’s back!

Mine came with rear-end LED's only. They look terrific, I'm glad I didn't have to mess with them. The front end was a different story but they're all switched out to LED's now.

I'd be happy if it was even just my driver door

Seems like the Sport S with LED package does come with the LED DRLs. Nothing else was forced to order.

@ShadowsPapa about how much did it cost to add the proximity sensors?

Hello, I'm new to the jeep community, haven't even ordered yet. I was curious what you all thought about the LED upgrade for like $1000???

Thanks Mike
100% worth it. Once you have them you'll never go back to incandescent lights.

Jeep historians should check out Marchal lights. These were on Honcho back when.

I say no. I got the blind spot monitoring option which by default gives you the LED taillights - that's worth the upcharge. The front headlights and fog lights however were halogen. The DRL and turn were bulbs (super whimpy bulbs). For about a $100 I replaced everything (headlight bulbs, DRL bulbs, turn bulbs, and fog light bulbs) with LEDs. IMHO what I did are superior to the OEM LED option, less expensive, and easy to replace in the future if needed. The LEDs I chose specifically because they work with the reflective housing and don't blind people like the cheap LED upgrades some people use. Most importantly, I was left with $700 in my pocket for other options vs doing the OEM LED option.

Here's the LED parts I used - found on Amazon:

I did not need to use decoders/resistors and have zero flicker - probably because I had the LED taillights that came with the blind spot option and Jeep was already setup for them.

If I have time I'll snap a shot of the lights at night. Hope this information helps.

Does any one have a link for the REVERSE lights? Thought these Alla Lighting 2800lm 7440 7443 LED Bulbs Xtreme Super Bright T20 7441 7442 7444NAK LED Bulb 5730 33-SMD Car Back-Up Reverse,Turn Signal,Brake Stop Lights TailLights DRL, 6000K Xenon White would work but they're to big.

They are only worth it if you drive at night.

It seems like it's easy to just get LEDs in the aftermarket. It is a freaking nightmare to get anything decent. If I were to change anything it would be the LED package. Upgrading the stereo is much easier. With LEDs you need a taser, you deal with Chinese LEDs and used OEs are over 600 still for headlights alone.

You don't need to use a Tazer. Jscan, AlfaOBD can do it and leave no trace.

The ones that I really liked were the Morimoto super7s. But I couldn't get them to work. They offered to send me a half dufflebag more wiring and I declined and sent back. I agree, most fugly as hell.
