Anyone ever make a change after they made their deposit at Gupton. I have the black freedom top but wanted to change to body color. It’s not a must have but was curious if anyone had any experience.
Have you got a VIN yet? They told me after a VIN was assigned that they could not make any changes. I tried as well to make a couple of changes but it was too late.

No vin number yet. I’ll try sending them an email and see if it’s possible and report back.

Well…., According to Jeep Chat/Shat my Gladiator is at the dealership. I’m so looking forward to the call. Of course today is my last day of vacation. The soonest I’ll be able to make it to the dealership will be next Friday. I will probably drive my wife absolutely nuts over the next (8) days!! ????

My wife asked me "so where are they, what state are they in" when I told her of the pics posted here and the good deals and no hassle. We had great luck with Spencer (4 hours away) and really like his good deal first time around approach instead of "I have to go check with my manager" BS.
We were talking that if I could get enough for my current JT and a good enough deal on a new one, I'd "renew" - get another to replace mine but we'd have to be close enough in difference to make it worthwhile.
I was sort of surprised when she asked where this place was. But looks like these are all outright buys and no trade type deals.
On the other hand - her main sewing machine was making a knock sound and we took it up to get serviced and ended up trading it in on a new $11,000 machine so....... will she still be interested in a truck trade? LOL - dunno............ yet.

But if Gupton did trades, it would be worth talking to them.
I just can't see selling mine, then being truckless for 2 months since we rely on it, I rely on it, every week. I need a truck.
For me it was a sell to carmax for a pretty darn good price (and a lot less hassle than selling it myself), and then fly to TN for a great price on an exactly what I wanted JT!

They do do trades - guy was trading in his Prius on a JT the day i was there. I didn’t see a lot of used products on the lot so they probably wholesale out most of them, but the market is still inflated, so they might give you a decent deal…

It can't hurt to contact them. What's the worst that can happen?
I had thought about selling mine - but then I'd be 2 months without a truck and have to strip my add-ons off this one and have stuff laying around for 2 months, etc. - I'd just rather do it all in one week - make a deal, when a new one came in, swap the stock parts back onto this one, drive it down and get the new one, then put the parts on it. (steel bumper, winch, tailgate ladder, LED backup lights, yellow LED fog lights, other stuff)
Now if they'd move everything over for a few hundred bucks, I'd pay them to do it.

That's what got me about ordering through Spencer when we bought my wife's Grand Cherokee. It was unreal as far as how easy it was and how quickly things went. My wife was like "we're never going through that other stuff again" and "that's the fastest we have ever been in and out of a dealership. In the past it has taken hours - sometimes 2 or 3 hours and the back and forth BS.
I am indeed going to contact these folks.
I've already checked with Spencer and he shot me a heck of a great deal but isn't interested in mine for trade. But if I had no Gladiator to trade, I'd be all over his offer.
So will see if these guys take trades and what their numbers are.
No big deal, it's not a "I have to" or need to, there's no great need, just if it works out, so no pressure anywhere.
We've already talked about a drive down to Florida to visit my son and his family and stay a few days - this could be done on the way down.

I was about to order through Spencer but he required a credit check just to place the order so that was a “no” for me.

I sold my car through Carvana instead of trading. Again, super easy, transaction took like 10 mins.

I was talking to Spirit Lake and Gupton at the same time and Gupton seemed much more willing to answer questions and get an order in. That and Spirit Lake was telling me Gobis weren't available a good week after people were putting in orders other places. So Gupton it was.

Not to say Spirit Lake isn't going to be a great experience, my coworker ordered through them and just picked up recently. He had no complaints.

Carvana was $7,000 lower than other online places...... soured me. But then I can't sell this one and wait 2 months for another - I'm getting into show and swap meet season. Need the truck.

I was snooping around on a local dealer's web site (not the other ones around Des Moines, a different place, different corporate owner) and some they had 2K under MSRP, not many, but a few, and that caught my interest. Maybe they'll do better than MSRP. So I made contact, explained my thinking - and then told them what I was looking at and they right away said sorry, we only sell MSRP, we don't discount and don't do any affiliate program discounts. That was that, thank you for your time. No discount at all, no affiliate discounts - they don't do any of that. MSRP or nothing. That's like the dealer I bought through (until I told them I was walking away from the order......)

Any specific person at Gupton or just generic contact and they assign the next available sales guy like most do?
