I painted my center caps to go with my paint and new decals. I’m pretty happy with the results.

Love the damn Islander decal! For some reason they remind me of Magnum PI (the real one with Selleck and crew), and Jurassic Park at the same time. If I didn’t like the Mojave decal so much, I’d make my own Frankenstein Mojave/Islander. I’m still tempted…

I played hooky from work so I could take off the hardtop and finally install my half doors.

Thanks to TheOpa for a good deal. Didn't even need to give a creep wave or a duck for it!

what sun shade are you using, and can you release the clamps easily and push the Sunrider back from inside with the shade in place?

Magne-Lok sun shade. I can not lift or close the Sunrider while driving with the sunshade in place. I need to step out to do that. The front of the sunshade is magnetic and you fold it up to reach and secure the Sunrider clamps. I'm sure while driving and catching air assisting you could probably open it. But reaching back to close it would be very dificult. Could a more flexible person do it? Maybe? I just know I couldn't. But IMHO it still beats having to carry the Freedom panels and try putting them on anytime the weather changes. I knew this before purchasing. Just happy the shade was able to remain in place with the Sunrider. I did have to remove 4 foam pads that the straps for the shade lay on to protect the paint. They were too tall. But just the straps are fine.

Could you leave the front portion of the shade folded back when the sunrider is closed, then pull back into place after opening the sunrider?

Yes. Folding the front will leave maybe 5 - 6" open. You can easily access the clamps and fit your arm fully out. Only problem is the tight mesh shade would restrict you from reaching back to grab the Sunrider when it is opened.

Hadn’t thought of that. Thx

I purchased my 2022 JT Rubicon about 6 weeks ago. Just yesterday I started pulling the trigger on parts/mods.
  • Ceramic tint sides and rear windows to 5% (limo), windshield to 50%
  • Set of 39x13.5R17 BFG KM3s

  • 2" hub-centric aluminum wheel spacers

  • RedRock Crawler Stubby Front Bumper

  • 8" flexible antenna

The fun has just begun, my list is long, whole lot more to come!
Those could be my next set of tires. Can't wait to see them mounted.
