Sustained some trail damage. At first, it seemed to be no big deal but the loud whistle when I hit highway speeds told me otherwise.

I was struggling to make a rocky climb but not for lack of trying. I kept bouncing more and more off my line and was unfortunately losing awareness of my surroundings. Finally my rear slid far enough that there was now a tree behind me that wasn’t previously there.

Ended up backing my Kayak v-bars right into it. That bent my rack which stunk but I have spare material from building it so repairs won’t take a Herculean effort.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware of the v-bars contacting my top at the time. My top was open and the v-bars pushed forward enough to tear a piece at the header. Thankfully I stopped to investigate the noise because it could been worse. The Gorilla tape I keep in the jeep sure came in handy to prevent the tear from growing.

I had the Backflip MX4 (similar to yours) on my previous Chevy Colorado and was not impressed with the fitment and quality either, especially for the price. I've stuck with Truxedo since and haven't been disappointed.

New Fuel Beasts bronze dark tint. never really was satisfied with the color match of my prior BR Abrams. They are .5” narrower than the BR but my 12.50 nitto ridge grapplers still look great and don’t stick out from the fenders as much. Still enough to get a ticket in some places but not in my AO.

Installed a Bak 4XS. Sorry but not impressed with it. Install instructions on par with ikea and finish trim piece very cheaply made. One end piece was broken off when I removed it from the packaging. The other looks like it’ll probably blow off while at highway speed. I had to install a small machine screw to affix the one that was snapped off and will probably do the same for the other side. the rubber side seals are flapping in the breeze up at the bulkhead. For almost $900 I expected more.

Funny, I have the same cover and wheels.

My X4s also arrived damaged in shipping. The same part, but on the passenger side. I used glue to fix it. Aside from that I'm happy with my X4s. Before this I was looking at something similar made by Rugged Ridge but it tacks down with velcro ?

Not quite in the same class as the others who have done heavy mods recently, but I replaced the 3D printed snap caps with these better looking key hole covers I got off eBay. Injection molded plastic looks much better (rounded edges and OEM-like texture).

Just added blue to mine the other day. I like the blacked out grille. Shows off the color much better. What did you use, bedliner, plasti-dip?
