I haven't bought yet, but I was going with the Quadratec Q Stealth. I also considered the APEX 12k with synthetic line: has a LOT of features and good reviews.Remind me again please, what winch did you end up going with ?
Warn Zeon 10sWhat winch did you go with ?
Yes
I have the APEX... its a huge honker of a winch.... thats why Ive been trying to find a plate compatible with both the Apex and steel bumper.... I thought I read somewhere the the Warn plate is compatible, but can't find it now.I haven't bought yet, but I was going with the Quadratec Q Stealth. I think you'll be ok. I know that the WARN 12s platinum works in this mount (which is what APEX uses as their comparison) on the JT and here are the dimensions:I have the APEX... its a huge honker of a winch.... thats why Ive been trying to find a plate compatible with both the Apex and steel bumper.... Roughly an inch smaller in every dimension, so I think you are good to go!
I’ve seen drop in liners get moisture and debris under them; and there ended up being rust. I’m a fan of spray in because of this. Thanks bud !..
went to look at the warn and sales guy kept trying to sell me a weston... Warn looked better designed to me and was with in $50 in price.... also tried upselling me to a spray in bed liner instead of the drop in rugged liner I wanted.... might need to shop somewhere else.. lol...
side note/question:
Have you by chance seen any threads on what dash cams people are using in the Gladiator... With our semi vertical windshield , sliding rear window and no true headliner to tuck power/video cords, it presents some challenges. Not so much just for a forward facing cam, but IMO you need a front and rear cam these day, especially with all the creative scamming happening and hit and runs. Most likely hardwire to the fuse box and down the door seal and up the back seat to the rear window.... looking at 4k front but most have a 1080p rear cam to achieve it... some are 2k front and 2K rear.. might be the best route, 2k should be sufficient, just need to find one to address the installation issues....
I have run a drop in on my dodge ram for 20 years, dealer installed when I purchased the vehicle, I never had any type of issue other than some paint rubbing underneath. It has held up vantastic over the years. I like how I can slide items around , unlike a spray in.. I'm too broke down to be lifting.. lol With the Gladiator, I'm not 100% if I want to go with a spray in, but I want it protected. I hate spending $$ twice, but I want something now to protect the bed and may upgrade to a spray in later after more research on brands , spray types , color options and finding the right shop. I feel spray in's are overpriced and the quality really comes down to the technician doing the spaying.. so I don't want to rush into anything. I do think spay in's look nicer when new, but down the road, a lot of them look dirty and seem like they would be hard to clean(but I have no personal experience). This would have been a mute point because at the time I ordered my JTRD, I wanted to order the spray in liner, but you could not order the factory spray in liner with the diesel.. go figure.... (or the factory headliner. for that matter.. weird).. thanks for the tip on the rust, I can see where this could happen for sure.... maybe I will lay down a few coats of wax first. I also use camper tape on the underside of the liner to mate up to the high spots of the bed to minimize the "harsh" rubbing. Most likely (when affordable) I will end up putting a bed cap on and going with something completely different....I’ve seen drop in liners get moisture and debris under them; and there ended up being rust. I’m sure the dropins we had were cheap.
I have not... sorry, no help from me on that one!Have you by chance seen any threads on what dash cams people are using in the Gladiator...
There are a few JL threads that walk through this over in that forum. Same setup.I have not... sorry, no help from me on that one!
Other than... I've installed powered mirrors with homelink in older Wranglers (JKs) and there is a good amount of space in the windshield and A-pillar trim to run wiring. May even be easier in the JT because you can fold down the windshield to get better access and not have to brake the paint seals on the A-pillar bolts to do it like on the older models (pre-JL/JT).
Just FYI Bud..... I pulled the trigger on the Warn winch plate, Got what I think was a good deal on it .... $292... shipped to my door also got the Tazer Mini with a two year extended warranty for a decent deal ... $325.. shipped... I guess I'm truly on my way... lol ... no looking back..I have not... sorry, no help from me on that one!

Just Empty Every Pocket !
If anyone is still following this thread, I lowered to 25 psi... going to do some additional testing, but at 30 I could see the cupping where the tread met the pavement. I am on stock 7.5" rubicon rims, so that could be making it worse!I haven't chalk tested, but I'm running my 37" BFG KO2's at 30psi at the moment
