I have a 6MT Rubicon, so my experience may be different than others, and as you mentioned this topic is like a religious war or vax/antivax levels of craziness ?

Coming from a 6MT Rubicon JL, I am in no hurry to re-gear. It's a -bit- more sluggish in general and 3rd gear especially is not as fun as it once was. I never really used 6th gear in my JL and found the MPG's usually went down rather than up when I did use it on the hwy because it was pushing more air in an overdrive gear. I don't use it in the JT now, either.

I may regear someday... no rush. I may also do the Magnusson SC... or both! ;) All it takes is money.

As far as getting in... yes, the 5" of height gain in the front is noticeable (33" -> 37" + MOPAR lift + Teraflex levelers). My daughter says it's our families' Monster Truck. I use the grab bar with my right arm and jump/pull to get in (I'm 5'8") but it's not like I need a ladder or step stool ?

I love the look and the ability to gain back some of the breakover angle I lost with moving from the JL (we off road as a family) and both of those, to me, outweigh the gearing issue and the ingress/egress.
Thanks for the insite brother !

You seem to be well in the know on a lot of issues.... could you maybe point me in the right direction concerning: Putting a Badlands Apex 12K winch in an OEM steel bumper (2022 JTRD)..
I have no idea what winch plate is compatible with both the bumper and winch....., Harbor Freight has oa plate for less than $50 that works with the winch , but not sure if it works with the bumper and the same but opposite for Mopar, but way more expensive , they have a plate for the bumper , but not sure if it works with the winch. Also not much about anything compatible with the diesel if it even makes a difference. I can youtube to see how people are routing the cables... but knowledge is power and i'm lacking right now...

The biggest issue on the lower-quality plates is the thickness. Too thin and you'll flex the winch plate which can damage the bumper, frame, winch, etc. Potentially it could completely break which would be no fun at all.

You will definitely need one made for the OEM steel bumper and you may need a mounting plate for the fairlead depending on which one you buy. I have my eyes on the Warn 101255. The price varies from $250 - $325 depending on availability/demand and it checks all the boxes for me. And it's $200 less than the MOPAR plate.

I don't think the diesel matters (but I can't guarantee that). Maybe someone with a diesel can confirm...

Good luck!

So the warn you are considering is a direct fit for the oem steel bumper ?

I checked it out, I'm most likely going to pull the trigger on it as well..... seems like the best option for me, considering I already purchased the big ole honker of a winch ...a.k.a. Badland 12K...(before I had the Jeep and wasn't sure what I was getting into..lol)

I was installing my Mopar lift specific to the eco diesel and noticed that the instructions for the springs are not clear. In the attached image below you can see each spring has a part number that is associated with a RF, LF, RR or LR indicating the orientation in which to be installed on the jeep. (left front, right rear, etc) The image on the very far left does not match the RF, LF, RR, or LR in the 3.0 column for the diesel lift. They are swapped, which is confusing. If you look in the 3.6L column on the chart the image matches. AND if you look up the JL instructions, the image matches for all 3 engines which all have different spring part numbers. What do you all think? Is this a print error on Mopar's end? For anyone with a Diesel Mopar lift installed, I would double check the tags on the springs and match the part numbers and see how your dealer or you installed them, they might be on the wrong side depending on how the instructions are interpreted.

Ok... I finally got my hands on what will clear everything up.... had to pull some teeth and owe a few favors, but well worth it. If anyone would like a copy, PM me with your email and I will send you one. This is the corrected, most up to date installation instructions for the Mopar Lift..dated 09/29/2021 .. seems it has gone through several revisions... Hope this helps !

It's still not correct. RR should ends with 50AA. It took them nearly a year to update and still screwed up ?. Could it be that the only difference between AC & AD p/n is the installation instructions?

We need a post named "Mopar Errors"

Part numbers are correct except for the one flippo on the rear right(but we know what its supposed to be.... the oriantations are too.... I confirmed it with 2 other sources with Mopar Tech through their Dealer Service Line... But he was not able to share the other pages with me and was only able to provide this guide ..... sets my mind at ease, I guess individually, take it for what its worth.....

For verification, we are supposed to be installing the following springs correlated to the R and L sides, right?

LF: 147
RF: 148
LR: 149
RR: 150

The warn winch plate is the same for the diesel. Fit perfect on mine with OEM steel bumper
