The subject says it all. Have any folks run into a leaking transfer case on low mileage vehicles? I just got my last Jeep Wave oil change/rotation and the mechanic said I had a leaky transfer case they need to look into. But they cant get me in until Nov 7. :swear:

Either the case wasn't sealed right or it's the drain or fill plugs. Should be an easy fix

I'm guessing its the seal as the entire circumference of the transfer case has ATF fluid marks. Does that sound about right? Luckily I was able to find a dealership about 1.5 hours away but still not until the end of October :crying:

My 2020 had that was well. Required a dealer visit and they replaced input and output shaft seals of the tcase. No issues since

I remember reading somewhere about a batch of 20's that had the seal pinched when installed? Not sure. Seems like a relatively straight forward fix after they dropped the tcase out. For mine they ordered one seal, removed the tcase, then had to order the other seal. So all in all I was jeep-less for about 2wks due to shipping leadtimes.

Brought it to the dealer today. It’s the same issue as @InvertedLogic. They need to replace the inside and outside shaft seals as well as the drain plug seal. Looks like the entire seal issue looks bad on this truck. They made a point to say they didn’t want me driving it. I had to drive it 1.5 hours to the dealer so I sure hope I didn’t wreck the transmission already ? They also have to order the parts so they said it will take 5 days. They were kind enough to give me a RAM 2500 loaner. Thanks for all the input in this thread.

This just happened to my 22' JTR 6-speed. It has around 4700 miles. It's at the dealer now and waiting for the final diagnosis. I'm guessing they'll come back with the same cause because it's the same exact leak. Hoping my dealer is aware of this issue so they can get on it. Tired of driving the loaner, lol.
Before I took it in I noticed that it would pop out of 4H back into 2H. Not sure if that's a symptom since the fluid is leaking from the T-case.
