Have you considered an adjustable Hellwig sway bar?It helped me a lot.

Short answer: No
I like the tucked-up and out-of-the-way mounting of the TerraFlex design.
I always saw that low-hanging, factory-mounted style as akin to a tailhook.

OK, so here we go on the supercharger upgrade.

I expect this to be a slow boil. I just got the box of cool stuff and am awaiting the arrival of the new Dorman aluminum oil filter housing.

I'll have to remove the ECM and ship that off to HP tuners, and with this being Christmas, it will be one of the following:
1. Delayed due to the season
2. Delayed due to shipping
3, Missed or screwed up by someone who spends all their time glued to their smart device
4. Lost in the mail
5. Retuned with a supercharged Hellcat tune
6. Chipped
7. Broken
8. Crushed
9. Returned to me ready to install

I’ve been keeping up with your supercharger thread. My plan has always been a 5.7 swap once my warranty is out but would love to go this way. I truly hope this works well for you!

Can't wait to see the install and read your impressions on both the install and the new found power. Definitely leaning this direction now that our GPEC5 support is available. Especially reading the other thread where the guy hit 230k miles before his v6 had cam issues. Beats the hell out of the $30k for the hemi swap and even if I end up there it's the same supercharger ripp uses for the 5.7L kits so it shouldn't take much to add it to the hemi swap and be pushing ~600hp.

This is going to be both productive and fun. I may even be able to solve the $35K puzzle for around $7K

Most of us don't care about 0-60 performance. Most of us have to think long and hard before dropping the cost of a new JL on just a motor. Most of us like the V6 because it is light, adequate for trail driving, and economical to operate.

All we (Well, mostly me) really want/need the Pentastar to produce a bit more torque for towing, highway driving, and the like. Supercharging does precisely that: it makes more torque. If you really "need" the V8 sound, that's cool, go for it, do a Hemi conversion.
I can make this Gladiator do everything I need it to with just a modest boost.

That said, Ripp has a host of Pentastars making over 400 WHP! He even has some over 450 WHP, and at least one I noted making around 500WHP! So the potential is definitely there, and I will not be asking nearly as much from my application.

Having said that, I have never been one to settle. Thinking down the road, I would love to build a forged 9:1 motor with a displacement upsize and then up the boost into the teens-20psi. It would be a cool experiment and yield quite the sleeper, but that is not the intent at this point in the build.

Here's how I plan to approach the installation
First, remove the ECM and send it off
Next, remove the intake manifold to:
Install the new Oil Filter housing
Install New Iridium spark plugs
Install new fuel injectors
Reattach the lower manifold
Mount the oil catch can system Ripp supplies
Mount the blower
Mount the intercooler, cutting as necessary to fit
Remount the upper manifold
Hook the IC pipes up
Reconnect the ECM
Flash the ECM
Refill the fluids as necessary
Finish all the punch-out items, start and test drive
Dyno-tune at a nearby shop

Maybe consider the updated Mopar oil cooler filter housing with the better seal design, instead of the Dorman aluminum unit. Unless the Dorman has been updated as well...

When was it updated?
Last I saw, it was before his JT was made.

Ya, well, I purchased the Dorman oil cooler unit with the housing, and I wanted aluminum...

Your plan sounds good, I agree we don't need a whole lot more power and keeping the boost low will still give a smile and much less potential for engine problems. Some of the guys that had problems were pushing the tunes I think….Jack

Don't know when that change occurred. I'd be more interested to know which seals the Dorman unit uses, whether they've updated their design.
