I hope Jeep puts 2021.5 on the build and price ?

With the chip shortages and the inflated prices on used cars, you can probably buy a MY21, trade in for a MY22 and make a profit... Then trade it in again for that MY23 for a profit. The thing that kept me away from the Tacoma was that it was pretty much a rolling insult. Anachronistic to the point of absurdity. Compromised in ways that made zero sense whatsoever. The Tacoma that recently broke cover on the horizon might finally be rectifying this. Coil suspension all around, new drivetrain options, global platform (this is big)... It used to be the only game in town, and has been getting by solely on momentum from that since anyone who dedicated even a single brain cell to the subject would have noticed just how sad the Tacoma is compared to nearly every other option on the market. When the Tacoma details start to pour out, Jeep will have no option but to answer in increasingly aggressive countermeasures. So far it's just been catch up on Toyota's part; soon they'll have to start the brinksmanship. The less-than-full-size truck war is just getting started. MY23 may very well be worth waiting for. As anything but a brand loyalist, there are likely a number of spaces worth watching.
just saw that. Anyone a member over there? Need to ask that guy to ask his dealer about the JT guideJL Order Guide posted.

Where did you see it say 21.5 model? 22 order guide was just posted from Wrangler group. Clearly says 22 Model year. Can I just say, once again, all of this sucks. The Stellantis Product information site still says no info yet BUT it also clearly says it will be a 2022 Gladiator. Stellantis.
If as described here in our rumors section the build sheets read 21.5 model year then I for one am going to be seriously pissed off.
The production isn't going to start until 22 Nov 2021. So just about nobody will get a vehicle until 2022. If these changes are considered 21.5 internally then keep the F$%#ing information internal just like you do ALL other info.
Obviously saying it's a 21.5 means the real changes are going to be on the next update of the production line and maybe they think they can get that started in 3-6 months. Call this version a 2022 model and if you want to start selling 2023 models in June then by all means do so.....
Well it's back to waiting for published news and not just BS Rumors....![]()
I agree. I will probably go through with a Sarge 21.5 or 22, whatever it ends up being.I'm thinking the production cycle will be pushed out even further, IE '2023' refresh will likely be 2024.
The whole color pallet deal is bizzare though, it's not like that's a complex thing to change.
Maybe JT guide will hit soon -I agree. I will probably go through with a Sarge 21.5 or 22, whatever it ends up being.
Exact same boat. A second car used to be a necessity. Times have changed. Now it's a luxury. I'm saving many thousands a year right now not having a second car. Buys a lot of other fun things that take the sting off! Our situation will likely change eventually to where a second car is something more than a luxury again, but this essentially just buys us more time toward that eventuality. Let the other manufacturers catch up and see if they can't beat Jeep with a better product. Jeep owns it right now for my money, but someone could beat them if they tried. For me I already owned a MY 20 and sold it for a profit a few months ago to a dealer, so I'm very patient ? I wasn't driving it since I'm working from home 100% since COVID hit. But, eventually we'll need a second vehicle again, so I'm keeping an eye on things.
There is more than a little precedent for having a .5 model year, and skipping a calendar year. 2021.5/2022 may very well be one and the same. 2021 owners basically got an extra year of essentially zero depreciation. Can I just say, once again, all of this sucks. The Stellantis Product information site still says no info yet BUT it also clearly says it will be a 2022 Gladiator. Stellantis.
