2023 Rubicon Audio

I posted this in the audio section but no one replied, it might not been seen.

I just ordered a 2023 Rubicon and it comes standard with the 8.4" display. I was wondering if this comes with a subwoofer as the previous years did with the alpine system upgrade. For 2023 you only have one option for the stereo in the order tool.

I am trying to order the goose gear back seat delete before my JT arrives in January or February 2023. I need to know if the Rubicon will come with the subwoofer or not as this dictates which back seat delete kit I order.

I can't obviously look since I have not taken possession of the vehicle yet..

What did it say on your build sheet? Did you ask your salesman?

My build sheet has only the packages that I added (LED, Cold Weather, 8-spd.. etc).

I guess I can reach out to the dealer.... I figured someone on here has already received a 2023 Rubicon.

The only line item on the build sheet related to sound systems for 2023 is "ALPINE PREMIUM AUDIO SYSTEM"

If I could have ordered mine without a stereo all together I would have, I am so disappointed with the "Alpine" stereo mine came with I'm at the point of telling my dealer take your crap out and give me my money back....

Does that mean that my 2023 Rubicon order automatically comes with that 'premium' upgrade.

I don't have the official build sheet from my dealer. I just have a print out with the included options /prices. Doesn't mention any audio options.

I did reach out to my salesman so I'll get to the bottom of this ...

The 2023 rubicon comes standard with the 8.4 and premium audio group from the way I read it on the jeep website, that premium group includes the subwoofer.

We used it in the beginning of 2023 Rubicon deliveries to show that Rubicons no longer get Fox Shocks, it's great to see the full build options.

I'm curious what you're so disappointed about. I had a base stereo willys for 6 months before i got my new gladiator with the alpine, and it was a noticeable step up. The base radio is effectively useless if you're on the highway with your top or doors off. The alpine is pretty clear no matter the wind noise surrounding me.

What I'm most disappointed about is the radio continuously "forgets" my phone favorites and they have to be reprogrammed, I've given up on it now. The speakers weren't the greatest quality, I replaced with fosgates and have much better sound. The android auto is always saying that when I plug in my phone it doesn't recognize the device. Just all around small things that keep adding up. I had the same system in my 2014 RAM and never had any problems. Speaking with my salesman he said for 2023 it will be the uconnect 5 instead of the 4 that I have and its a completely different system that fixes most of the bugs but unfortunately can't be put into anything but 2023.

I hate to tell people they're wrong but...

This is an objectively good stereo system. Fosgates used to be the cheap speakers they sold at Best Buy, so I'm doubting there is much an improvement especially if the headunit is the same. Gone are the days of polyfilling the enclosures, needing to replace speakers, struggling for semblance of good audio. If you need to see a garbage system, sit in a JK.
