Modules still won’t talk to each other. Replacing under seat modules next… been in shop since Jan 2What are the issues? Starting is an improvement.
I wish. Insurance would have bought it totaled.. it’s in Ky and I live in fl. (12 hrs)Did you atleast get it home or have to leave it? My dad had his Ram hit by lightning and same deal where had to keep throwing more burnt modules at it until all the electronics would start working. We were 2 hours away from home for that.
They opened a stars?? Case after the batteries and first module change…Sounds like a bus wiring issue and they are too stupid to use a scope meter to figure it out. If the problem changes to another module after you shotgun a new part, that is a sign.
They need to look at the can bus waveforms and if message traffic is erratic like the high/low is not mirroring each other, start pulling least important modules off line to isolate the stub path on the bus.
Typical dealer nonsense to just shotgun it to death with parts and lay their head on service data not spoon feeding them the answer.

Still basic troubleshooting should take precedence over anything else.you could real-time shut off ignition coils or injectors to chase a fault or even read out hidden sensor information but God help the person chasing issues on a corroded wire section.
That’s sad…STAR = Service Technical Assistance Resource
Engineers may then look at it and give them suggestions.
Hootbro had it right - just start tossing modules and chase things around like that old wild goose chase.
People just don't diagnose or troubleshoot these days -
They often don't know how
They are often hand-tied by corporate
Or both
Problem is I went to the store. Then next morning nothing… except dome lights…Still basic troubleshooting should take precedence over anything else.
Which harnesses and connectors are involved - where are they, which are most likely to be damaged by heat or water, etc.
I've fixed a lot of network issues by observation and logic.
12 hrs away… 17k miles on it…They where replacing modules but didnt check wiring before? Whoever the tech is, or the dealer them self, you should probably fire at this point
No other dealers in that area?12 hrs away… 17k miles on it…
