My 2 cents. 35/12.5 all terrain on AEV Salta II Wheels works for me on the beach and around town. I also pull a 20’ boat.

Mojave on 37s all day. Looks spectacular in my opinion. I was going to go 35s but when people in here said they got 35s and then regretted not getting 37s there was no way I was putting my pocket book in that position lol

I'm going to install the same tire but went with 11.5" with the stock wheel.

Since the Mojave has an upgraded suspension I used the AEV 2” spacer for mine to retain that suspension. When I wear it out I’ll decide then whether to rebuild those shocks or go with a bigger lift but at this point I think I have plenty of clearance.
I also think you’ll like the 37s better but you’ll also need to get 9” wide wheels to get a wider 37 than 11.5” which is kind of skinny for 37s.
For the record Discount Tire has no issues putting 37 12.5 on 7.5 wide wheels. Right or wrong.

They’ll put them on and I believe they’ll be ok in some applications.
I went with the manufacturer’s recommendation because I use mine for offroading aired down to around 15psi and didn’t want to worry about popping the bead.

A narrower wheel actually makes it harder to pop the bead.

The advantage with 9" wheels vs 7.5" wheels for 12.50 wide tires is on-road where you don't have to run lower PSI to get even tread wear.

You're actually less likely to pop a bead with a wide tire on a narrow wheel. Commonly called a poor man's beadlock back in the day for that very reason (nowhere near actual beadlock grip). We ran 38x13.50s on the stock rubicon wheels on our 2019. Even at 10 psi in moab never had an issue.

For the record, Discount tire isn’t a tire manufacturers. They sell tires.

As expensive as most of the tires are, most would like to keep them as long as possible. Put a tire on a rim that’s too narrow can cause it to pull the corners down causing odd wear.

don’t get me wrong I like Discount Tire but if the manufacturer says the recommended rim with this supposed to be something, I’m gonna stick with it. Theoretically you could put it on a 5 1/2 inch trim too doesn’t mean you should.

You'll only get uneven wear if you are way out of the "recommended" range and/or are running too high of a psi. There's a reason they use recommended and not required. I've gotten 40-50k miles out of 12.50" wide MTs on 7.5" wheels for years with no uneven wear. At least 6 sets of tires. BFG recommends 8", that .5" isn't going to cause any issues in my experience.
