Anyone willing to sell their Mojave takeoff wheel, please PM me! (assuming you're swapping for the 392)

Kit arrived today!

I am filming a swap video tomorrow on a Wrangler. I decided the Gladiator needed a 4xe cousin and expected it to get delivered last week. So I am late on the instructions but they are coming! I love that sticker!

Got mine installed last night. I took a shot at carving some foam out of the Mojave steering wheel to make it fit. I didn’t carve much out and it fits pretty well, but not perfect. Honestly I could have done a little more work to make it fit better, but it was 9pm and I was running out of patience and just wanted it done. Photos below, including one of the entirety of foam I removed from the back of one side of the wheel. It was actually more than necessary, as I started too far over.

I haven’t had a chance to go for a drive yet, but I’m looking forward to some fun!

That looks pretty awesome to me! My parts order arrived this week. Now I just have to find the time to do the same on my stock wheel. So many projects to be done on my Jeep - so little time…

For everyone about to install their new steering wheels, take a few pics of the wiring before you get started. I slacked off and was impatient and had to pull my airbag and steering wheel off a few times before I got the wiring routed correctly.

I ordered my paddle shifters and wires. They will be here next week.

Quick question, I assume I have to remove the existing wiring and replace it with the new one?

Will all other functions work properly like adaptive cruise?

Yes, you’ll need to remove the old wiring, and yes, all the existing features will still work.

Here’s photos of the wiring for anyone that needs them in the future. In order, wheel with the airbag removed, wheel with front side trim/switches removed, back cover with wheel removed.

Good videos. Ive been doing some testing and while enabling “Paddle Shift CSM Present” makes the setting show up in the menu, selecting “on” just results in a tone and it reverting back to “off”. The paddle shifters do work just fine though.

I’m working on a solution to the gear indicator disappearing when you hit a paddle while in drive. Not quite there yet, but I think I’m on to something. I’ll report back when I’ve either figured it out or failed.

The 4xe is an amazing power plant! It makes the supercharger and diesel look like amateur hour. The economy is not as great as it should be, but pretty noticeable around town. The cold and the interstate, pretty much keep the 2.0 lit, bit no biggie. The electric motor is always ready to help supply a nice surge of torque when needed!

Just ordered the full kit from @Threedom for my Rubicon. Will be pulling the Mojave steering wheel that I just installed a few weeks ago. (ha, the force on the 392 wheel is strong!) If anyone is interested in the Mojave wheel DM me. Thanks.
