Hello everyone,

I have a 2021 Mojave . I have a Z-Automotive Tazer installed, when 4wd engaged (traction control off) it seems no four wheel drive, Front axle does not engage.
I disconnected tazer, the 4WD worked fine.
Does anyone have or experienced this problem?

I had the exact issue you are describing on my 2021 Mojave when I installed my Tazer. I was actually in a sand pit and was dumbfounded when the front axle wouldn't do anything. It turned out to be an axle setting in the tazer. It was over a year ago, but it had to do with the front axle gear ratio, or telling the tazer you have the factory front axle still. Download the manual and go thru the settings. I bet that's your issue.

I'm curious if there's any difference with this problem between using the minor settings and unplugging the tazer or using the advanced settings and leaving it plugged in.

This is just great.I just ordered one to do my tires and TPMS settings Gears will be soon. I just don't want to be having issues that I don't have now. But I have to do the tires. This and the radio volume settings going nuts with the Tazer. Would be nice to hear these are all operator caused issues.

You can do tire settings, gear ratio changes, TPMS changes, etc. and shouldn't need to leave tazer installed.
You can do those same things more cheaply with software if you don't need the tazer live functions. Of course only tazer can do the live functions, but tires and gears and most other things, you don't need it, or even to leave it in place. (at least I'd hope not)

The only things I want is TPMS, tire size, gears, seat belt chime, sway bar disconnect, and rear locker. If it can do that without messing everything up I'll be happy.

I personally have no experience with a Tazer mini because I felt I didn't need all of the functions the unit provided and went a different route. However as my profession states I am an analyst and there seems to be an abundance of threads about issues that all have one common denominator, a Tazer. I'm not trying to throw shade on the unit but instead providing a very obvious analysis. Tazer in = issue, Tazer out = issue resolved.

A bit of an over generalization. I actually notice there are significantly more installed units that have no issue than those that do. It’s just that you don’t hear about them as often. And you always hear about a Tazer during troubleshooting, even if it isn’t the cause of the issue. So there’s quite a bit of a reporting bias there.

My Tazer Mini works just fine and has not had any hiccups at all.

I do IT stuff so I can buy Jeep stuff.
I run a TazerMini that I've had for the last 8 months. In addition to setting tire size and TPMS settings, I like the live function which remembers my last setting for ESS (so I don't have to turn it off every time I start my JT). The OP's symptoms really sound like the 'Set Front Axle Disconnect "FrtAxl"' setting has been toggled on by accident.

If you keep it updated, and if you follow their instructions to the letter, that's how I bet 99%+ are.
I'm not promoting or anything, and I have no need or want for one, but I also don't like unfair stuff being thrown at 'em.

That is a thing that's been brought up in various threads here before. I also seem to recall that being a thing with a certain software version as well? Maybe I am remembering that wrong. But that's where I'd start - it's apparently easy to have happen if I can remember seeing that as an issue before and I don't even own one! ;)

The only things I want is TPMS, tire size, gears, seat belt chime, sway bar disconnect, and rear locker. If it can do that without messing everything up I'll be happy.
Seat belt chime can be done with NO tazer and no software at all! It's been described how to do it by sitting in your Jeep or RAM truck and using the start button without brake pedal, and connecting and unlatching the seat belt a certain number of times.
So if that's all you want - you don't need ANY tool for that - just your Jeep and key fob and you.
For the tire size, gears, you can do that with almost anything, software or tazer.
But for the sway bar and rear locker - that's going to require tazer's live functions.
If that is your list, you need tazer because it's all that can handle those two things.

Had a tazer mini for about 6 months. Multiple trips to sand pits. 4wd works 100% of the time

Only issue I had was the turn signal camera not canceling correctly. That was fixed with a firmware update and the reboot

I understand their support is good and they are very responsive if someone reports a genuine issue and can show them how to duplicate it.
Rare to see issues that are truly the fault of the device itself.

I knew this would happen when I created the post and should have deleted it. I am not saying the tazer is a bad unit although that's the 10 second clip that made the headlines. What I am saying is this "If you have an issue with your vehicle and the condition changes upon installation or removal of the tazer, then it's a good bet it's the taser."
Do you need to get wet to know it's raining? :)
