*** update ***

I used and abused this thing in Moab. It was an absolute rock star! I can't count how many times we were sliding down a steep departure slick rock wall and had all or most of the weight on this thing. It didn't bend in anyway. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the Red Rock bed rails. One angled departure bent the passenger side tune.

Jeep Gladiator $74.98 eBay hitch skid. 20220319_131421

Tried to notch it so I could use the first hole. Hole still too far back.

Oh well, had to try. Hahaha

Ordered the evening of the 17th, arrived this morning. Can’t beat that. The dude drives a hard bargain for an “or best offer” auction but I picked it up for $66.66.
Now I have to drill a hole for a flag mount but, no big deal.
I really like the Skid Mark 4X4 one but for a $130 savings I’m willing to give this one a shot.

@aceisback my thoughts too. I just pulled the trigger on the eBay one too for the same reasons.

Hopefully you used a couple of your offer/counteroffer options. At least covers the taxes.
Gonna be a while before I get to bang it and scrape it on obstacles but it seems heavy duty and well built.

lol was the seller only willing to budge a few cents on the price? Sometimes i wonder why they even put best offer option when they are literally only willing to budge like 10 cents on their price.

Yeah, I started at $60, they countered $1 lower than listing price, I went to $62, they came back another $1 lower, I figured $70 was probably their bottom price but said effe it I have time to wait if it doesn't pan out. They know after your third offer you aren't offering any higher so a lot of times accept it. Especially your high volume sellers. Every one they sell more than likely pays for four more sitting in inventory. So $66.66 is what I came up with and they sent an invoice within a couple of minutes.

I just payed 150 for a supreme suspensions skid(and I'm glad I did because it got a lot of use in the last week alone). But 70 bucks is a steal.

Many Ebay sellers have analytic software that will help manager their sales. If a listing with a "make offer" option starts getting traction, it will recommend to the seller to hold and sell for more. Generally it is the first couple of offer buyers that get the best deals before it tightens on price.

All the screws on mine we pretty loose. I would recommend a good snugging on them.

Going to remove them all anyway when I drill the hole for my flag mount. Thanks for the heads up though.
Was kind of thinking about putting some nonskid on that shiny plate too. Have to trim all of those holes though.
What say you? Do you think that plate might be slippery with some wet boots?

I'm not sure, haven't tried that yet.
