Do I leave the Bluetooth connector connected, or remove it after changes? I don't care about the live features.

I have the JScan app but need to know everything else I need to hook it up and use it. Forgive me but I’m technically challenged regarding this stuff.

Don't worry, I'm in the same boat. I thought it would help with the start/stop feature, but nope. I was able to set tire diameter and now my speedo is spot on, but I can't figure out out how to adjust my tpms lower so I don't get the winter time ding.

Thanks for the info. I have found the bypass cable and extension cord but not sure of what Bluetooth adapter to use.

Just did this myself, I found this and it worked for me
  1. Connect to your vehicle
  2. Open Adaptation
  3. Open TPMS settings
  4. Set TPMS thresholds in the applicable setting(s) from the following list:
    • TPMS Threshold: for vehicles equipped with the basic version
    • TPMS Threshold - EVIC version: well… yes, for vehicles with the premium version
    • Light Load Inflation Pressure Front / Rear Tire: Leave at 0.
    • Max Load Inflation Pressure Front / Rear Tire: This value is used as the minimum pressure when the vehicle is fully loaded. Change this value first and see if it does the job.
  5. Reset the TPMS:
    • Close the car, let it sit for a few minutes. If you see no change in behaviour, continue to the next step:
    • On most vehicles disconnecting the battery for a few minutes resets the TPMS, however:
    • some newer vehicles have others systems relying on a constant power supply, so instead you can use !Restart all ecus option (usually available in Miscellaneous Settings section).

This is considered one of the best available, right now, but is also a bit on the expensive side. It's on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Jscan has no live features. The bluetooth dongle is only connected while making changes.
Actually.......... you can change the idle speed and a couple of other things with it connected, but that means leaving the phone connect to the BT adapter and JSCAN running.

Do not leave it plugged in. You have bi-passed the security function, meaning you can write to the Jeep’s electronic modules. What’s the likelihood of someone with malicious intentions hooking up to the not password protected signal and making changes on the fly? Probably slim, but never 0.

Yeah, that's another thing - and why I use the extension cables to make it easier for me to use the bypass cable, and remove it when done. .

Yes, you can do a few things with it while connected, but it doesn't insert itself into the system and offer additional functions like the 'live' features of the Tazer.
