For those who have lifted your JT, I’m curious how many of you bought 5 sets of wheels/tires. Are you rotating the spare? I never got around to rotating my spare on my JK. Just wondering if I should save money and buy a cheaper 37” tire and wheel to use as a temporary with flats.

My spare will not be matching. It will hopefully never be used, but if it is used, it will be used very little.

I'm putting 35x12.50 on the stock 20s and will put a 35x10.50 Kenda on the steel spare.

I plan to rotate the spare in on both the Mojave and the JKU. Yes the wheels match.

Just got an extra Overland Stock wheel specifically to do be able to do a 5 tire rotation.

I’m needing tires anyways so might as well purchase a 5th when I do

Yep......I have the matching 5th for a 5 tire rotation and would want the spare the same diameter if ever needed.

So, how many have a 5th sensor on the spare tire? Evidently my original spare did not have a sensor so my new wheel and tire for the spare did not get one.. When I did my 5 tire rotation the TPMS went bonkers. Dealer added a sensor to the now right rear, the old spare and now that tire registers but now another tire sensor does not work, left rear. I actually dropped my full size spare to help with getting the TPMS working again. The dealer has ordered another new sensor. It has been a pain trying to get all 4 sensors to work and the spare having a sensor also. if that is even possible with the TPMS. Hopefully will find out this week. The tire guy at the dealer is doing his best to get the TPMS working again and with 5 tires/sensors!!

I’ve been wondering about this. I just bought a matching rim and plan to get a tpms installed on it when I add all new tires (5 total). I was wondering how or if the tpms would react with the system. Keep me posted on your outcome.

Any update on this? I am about to pull the trigger on new wheels/tires and want to do a 5 tire rotation.

I’m in the process of adding a new tpms sensor for my matching Overland spare in which I’ll have ready for when I get new tires all around (5 total) and do 5 tire rotations. I ordered and am actually picking up a OEM tpms for my spare rim today. Was on the phone with the service center for the dealership and they advised, yes the the new/additional spare would need a tpms. They said once it’s added in the rotation it will automatically program itself however after market ones bought at typical tire shops are hit or miss programming wise. in the case for the stock ones, Said it can take about 15-20 miles or so to do it though but once it’s on the wheel, it should be good to go. Figured I’d just stick to a stock one, plus it was only $53. Plus I like having everything the same.

Initially I only did 4, but the more I thought about it, the more I regretted not getting the matching spare so went back and ordered a matching 5th and added the tpms to it so I can rotate it in.

Smart man. As mentioned doing the same as we speak. And issues with the 5th adding to the rotation? Or has it even been added in yet as far as needing to rotate?
