Having garage work queued up gives me energy. I haven't been able to get to it recently just due to my actual job and busy evenings, but I'll get to it soon!

The blue Jeep is heavy enough for me to warrant chromoly rear axle shafts. We don't rock crawl per se, but the right wrong moment can leave you stranded. I'm not interested in that, although you're never in complete control of destiny ? Just giving us our best chance.

Enter Revolution chromoly shafts and the 8 wheel studs they included ?

Our blue Jeep isn't a Rubicon. It's merely an 80th anniversary edition. So like a souped up Overland model.

That's what I said but in frustration until I read the description which said the shafts don't come with wheel studs at all. So the 8 I got were a free gift it seems.

For anyone with a sport or overland model that doesn't have wide track axles, these shafts from Revolution went right in without a fuss. I've got just one test drive around the neighborhood under my belt, but so far so good!

So they want you to reuse the wheel studs? As I change wheels back and forth I wonder if there is a short lifespan of wheel studs and I should worry about changing them.

They do say to reuse your factory studs. I ended up reusing only two.

Started integrating the new charger into the house battery setup last night. While the pics aren't good, the work is ?

Cut an aluminum panel from diamond plate to hold bus bars and the fuse block. This will keep the bundle of wires to a minimum and separate the main wiring for the battery away from the auxiliary wiring.

I will need to get some larger crimp terminals to continue which will put the project completion on hold for now. More to come.

Well. It was a good weekend. If you're reading this, I hope it was for you too!

We left our home in the Matsu Valley heading south for the weekend. On Saturday we received over 10" of snow. The highway was a disaster. We sat in "traffic" waiting for the crews to clear miles of wrecks of Toyota and Subaru drivers that should have invested in Jeeps. After that, it was a wonderful weekend.

We dined!

We saw a theater show! And then crashed at an Airbnb.

The next morning we went further south to Girdwood!

We landed at Girdwood Brewery

After that we went back north with a stop at ABC

We're at ABC now.. heading home soon!
