Before the Gladiator I had a 17 pro Tacoma and a 17 Tundra both with ARE toppers and I will tell you this much their quality control in the past few years is horrible. I was pretty disappointed. I have a feeling the ARE is gonna be close to 200 lbs
This is one of the main issues I don’t want fiberglass, they’re crazy heave. I had a reinforced heavier duty one on my 2013 Tacoma and was over 250 lbs!

If you go on the OK4wd site and pull up the Alu-Cap page it gives the base price. As you select options the price reflects the amount. Not all the options are there though. The slider bulkhead window is under the custom top page which doesn't list a top for the Gladiator.
Just a heads up. OK4wd has updated the AluCab listing showing the accessory pricing upfront.

LifesaverJT, can you post the measurement, center of slot to center of slot, of the two rails on top of the cap for me?
Thanks

It’s 45 inches I just installed the 1450 mm cross bars with the low profile mounts

Would you mind sharing some details on the low profile crossbar setup? I have a Roofnest RTT that mounts via "u-shaped" brackets that go under the crossbars. I def prefer to be as low profile as possible but not sure if the tent would be able to mount to the low profile setup.

It might be possible to bolt the tent directly to the crossbars but not sure how that might work? Any insight you might have would be appreciated!

I was really looking at the ARE caps but the weight is a killer. This looks awesome- if I can mount an awning to the side of this thing I think this’ll be the way I go

OH man so the slot is only on one side? Wish it was on both front and back.
Yeah, that really needs either double brackets or a hole drilled in the center of the crossbar for another fastener. Surprised to see only the one edge slot on the crossbar.

Alu-Cab makes a foxwing Awning so I’m sure you can mount one.
This is what I’m planning on getting...

Oh man, why did you have to post that? I don’t need any other hard decisions to make. I was looking at that Ghost Awning from RLD because I’ve never seen anything like it. This one is interesting too. Looks like more research now, thanks a lot! Lol

Nice, they are great tents! If you think of it let me know if you come up with anything that works well and I will do the same!
