@smlobx if you save the posted pic to your photos you can go to edit, then markup (bottom icon of selections), use your finger or Apple pen to scribble anything you want. Then repost it.

Your finger works nearly as well as the pen for most things.
Don't have to charge it, hard to misplace. Pointy fingers are a plus!

Easy to do on the iPad, too. Select the image in your photos app, in upper right corner click on the three dots, then choose “Markup”...there you can use any of tools at the bottom to mark on your image. Very useful for forums and such.

Thanks for attending my TedTalk on Markup..

What you need is a sacrificial virgin and a volcano. Course those are nearly as hard to get as an AluCab cap!
i think i saw a Garfield episode where somebody rode their motorcycle into the volcano so it didn't erupt and melt the village. Don't remember a virgin in that episode though.....

As others stated, the cardboard is stout! The cabinet box was a little smashed, but the metal cabinet itself was fine.

I made a video of some of my frustration with the canopy mounting. nothing a drill bit can't cure.

Wonder what you guys think about the shimming of these mounts. Normally I would just follow the directions, but then my rear gasket isn't making contact with the bed.....

Congrats ? Well, don't negate that it may be the TRUCK BEDS "fault" and not the CAP !?.
Could also be a combo of poor build quality via Jeep & Alu-Cab !?. But, Alu-Cab did apparently screw up the shims thing, so . . . ? BEST of Luck, if anyone can solve the mystery it will be YOU . This has me wondering . . . hmmm, that with the 5 piece modular build of the RSI . . . thus having the ability to "Tweak-Away" to ones content, may be a blessing in disguise !?. time will tell . . .

@steffen707
I had basically the same issues with my cap install.
My shims were also all the same.
I think the shim stack setup directions have a typo and it should be less height not more. That allows a bit more gasket compression than what is provided by just the weight of the cap. Besides, there are not enough shims to make all the stacks the height they state.
Make sure that the bed mounts are as high as you can make them before tightening. Cap mounts as low, (not much slop in those).
Had the same alignment issue on the front two as you. Use a couple of the shims behind the cap mount and you will be all set.
I don't really trust the plastic bed rail top trim to be that accurate but I saw the same alignment as you.
I have also discovered a roof leak. One of the screws inside the track didn't get sealed right. Will be easy enough to remove and reseal.

Hope I'm not too late! Finally watched the video.

You're right, there's a contour to the bed sides, I think you just need to bring your front brackets back a bit so the contour is favorable. Mine's a solid 7 inches away from the front of the bed.

I also read the shim instructions to mean the thickness can be adjusted by adding/removing shims, not that they were different thicknesses. Possible I just skimmed and missed a typo though! lol
