did you weigh it, or is that what alu-cab says it weighs?Jon, the cap weighs 126lbs.
With the tonneau cover I always ran out of height room.....
With all the enclosed height now I didn't have one bit of despair over giving back 3”.
Just installing was an eye opener in convenience. Had to crawl into the bed s few times to fiddle with the mount setup and fit the parts. Working on the floor panel and rail of that same location now pulled out to the tailgate area meant standing outside to do it.
More to come!
When my wife was looking at the fridge access from the side opening she suddenly turned around and gave me the evil eye and asked “You’re not going to put bigger tires on this are you?”....did you weigh it, or is that what alu-cab says it weighs?
yeah i bet the convenience is awesome! I'm already loving just reaching over the bed from the side doors, i'm going to miss that without a step stool after i put a lift and bigger tires on it.
Man that’s awesome! Very well thought out. This is the general idea for the fridge. With the slide in you can get to it from the cap side door and you can reach in from the cab thru the sliders!
Pull the slide out and it is in the tailgate area. Easy access and sheltered from the sun and weather.

"Why no dear. The guys at the tire shop are going to put them on. I am just going to pay for them. "When my wife was looking at the fridge access from the side opening she suddenly turned around and gave me the evil eye and asked “You’re not going to put bigger tires on this are you?”....
That weight is per AluCab. I had lent my scales out when I had the cap hanging from the hoist so I missed the opportunity to weigh it. From handling it I would say that is spot on.did you weigh it, or is that what alu-cab says it weighs?

There will be a battery for the fridge. Not sure the route I 'm going yet but probably something set up in the bed. At this point the temporary power source will be my 52v lithium Ebike battery via 12v convertor. Can charge it with the bed outlet.Man that’s awesome! Very well thought out.
How are you planning on powering the fridge?
Are you thinking of adding another battery?
not me, what's LCOG?Spotted a Gator/Gobi Gladiator with an AluCab on it while camping in Jocassee Gorges this weekend. It looked to be a LCOG buid with 35s, or likely 37s on it. Anyone in here?
