Any suggested mods to reduce wandering and “constant correction” on stock ’25 Rubicon?

I think the more likely answer is your gauge is reading low.
It reads about the same as three new Harelys with factory TPMS I’ve owned in the past five years, and about five other vehicles with factory TPMS over the past 6-7 years. So I’m just picking a number somewhere in the middle.

I've heard the Bilstein stabilizer can actually make the steering pull to one side since Its a gas charged shock.
I can see how this might be so. I’ll report back after the install.

Yep this is why I asked. Maybe a through stabilizer would be better if everything else is up to par. If you wheel I’d skip the Mopar stuff but it looks like under warranty so……. Maybe do the Mopar for now and when it’s out of warranty go for a higher quality set of control arms.

I personally enjoy the wander but to each their own. It’s what I expect from a Jeep. For me it increases my input and actually feels like driving. If it’s extreme fix it. If it’s that sway like a thoroughbred on roller skates just let er ride. :turkey:

I guess some of it is just personal preference and what we are accustomed to. This is just my second Jeep, with the first being a JT Sport S, which is a great ride, but wandered also, even with the light truck tires they run on them. I have owned a whole lot of big, floaty American sedans way back when they still made them. I always liked vehicles that people forty years older than me liked.

That said, my neighbor across the street has a self-driving Tesla and told me just this morning he wants me to go for a ride in it. We have fairly stupid traffic around here due to the high growth, and I’m thinking when he actually asks me to go for a ride, I’m going to conveniently have a case of Covid, or diarrhea. 😃

I aired up from 23 to 35 this morning and it got rid of my shimmy and wander. If a cold snap hits when I’m aired in the mid 20’s, the tires take a few miles to get round again. Its why I prefer an SL or XL for my daily ranch driving.

The only other tires I had that did this were Continental Terrain Contacts.

Right now my best tire for ride, and wet weather behavior through the 10-15K life I get out of tires is Toyo AT 3.

What really sucks is when you are using 3 diff vehicles replacing tires at 10-15K

My new 25 JT Mojave seemed twitchier than I remembered my 21 Sport being. I installed the Mopar Performance Lift LCAs. It made a noticeable improvement in stability.

I have the same wandering issue. If I plan to lift in the future, would it be better to buy adjustable lowers from someone like Clayton? That way I could use them with the lift in a year or two? Then I could piece the kit together and save a little.

Absolutely the better move. The Mopar arms are ok and a great budget option if you're stock height or going to a 1.5-2" lift. If you'll eventually go bigger adjustable arms are the way to go.

Once I added adjustable lower control arms and set caster to almost 6deg it made big difference in the handling. The Mopar extended lower control arms are beneficial, you just can't fine tune the castor. Installing a sector shaft/track bar brace may have some benefit as well, especially if you ever add larger tires.

First, let me say I am not unhappy with the current handling, and fully understand the on-road handling characteristics of solid front axle vehicles. That said, if I’m not fiddling with my Jeep, or my bike, I get bored. Really bored.

This truck has 7,000 miles, and spends WAY more time on pavement than off. I did a search here, but it seems that most mods discussed are for lifted JT’s. I don’t plan a lift, but I do have a possible hemi swap planned in two years when close to the end of the 3/36 warranty. Rubitrux will need to make a few mods to handle the extra weight on the front end. Other than that, I’m just doing piecemeal improvements.

Running stock 285 70 17 Wild Peak AT3W's.

Suggestions? Would a better steering damper/stabilizer make any noticeable difference? Thanks in advance.

ETA- I’m looking at the Bilstein B8 5100 damper
Yea a new dampener would help. But sounds to me like you need an alignment. Wandering, like following lines in the road can be caused by toe being off.

Has anyone tried the Roadmaster ExactCenter stabilizer? Curious: they make big claims, but I suspect the reality is a little short of the claims…

As I understand it, it is basically a dual steering stabilizer setup, two steering stabilizers opposing each other, folded into a single stabilizer.
I would not want anything like that, but to each their own.
I would rather fix my steering issues if I have steering issues, not try to cover them up with a more complicated steering stabilizer.
I subscribe to the KISS principle.

It may have to do with the fad if its low speed your speaking of and turning.
Check your tires.

Tires are fine. I'm talking of up to highway speeds.
