Here’s my Overland with ~35” (285/75/18) on rubicon suspension with 1.5” spacer in front and .75” in rear. Drives great, holds 8th gear on highway up to and over 70 mph on relatively flat stretches. Tracks better than stock, not as much drifting/swimming on the highway.

Yes, the Rubicon fenders are about 1.5" higher than all the other JT model fenders.

Overland Left vs. Rubicon Right...

Ok. I see the difference. They are the same shape and opening size but the Rubicon fenders are up closer to the hood. Makes sense now.

I was about to post the photo and noticed that you had written that so I thought it would be helpful to add a visual to what you wrote.

Gotcha. No big deal, just making sure you quoted the right post.

Been there done that. Went from stock Sport S tires to 33s (Falken Wildpeak MTs in 1st pic) to 35s (Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 in 2nd pic). I also have a 2.5 inch Metal Cloak leveling kit, Rubicon Fox shocks all around, and Rubicon springs in the back. IMHO Gladiator looks and rides much better with 35s.

i'm planning on getting bigger tires when my 33s on the rubi wear out. i like the look of lifted 35s and 37s. However, i'm wondering if i'll need to regear if i do 37s? Also, holy crap the price increases exponentially with bigger tires! What the hell! Getting 5-37 tires is going to be expensive!

Yep, that's why jeep stands for Just Empty Ever Pocket, you can go broke owning one and not because of the payment.

I have a manual sport without max tow. I put Cooper Discoverer AT3 285/75r17 on my factory wheels with no lift (first pic). A few months later I added Rubi suspension takeoffs (coils, shocks), Teraflex 1.5" spacers in the front (with factory isolator for ~.25" extra lift) and .75" rear spacer(second pic). Love the ride/stance so far. Need to add shock extensions soon just to get as much out of the Fox shocks but feels fine without them so far. Haven't really felt a loss in power and the speedo is only off 2-3mph. MPG has gone down from 22mpg average to 17mpg average.

Anyone have pictures or opinion on this set up? I’m thinking of going with the 33” I have now with 2.5” lift until budget permits new 35’s and wheels. Any opinion or help on how everyone thinks this would look feel free to share.
Did you do it? Have a pic?

It will look a little weird. I have the 2-inch mopar lift with 35x12.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers on a RUBICON and especially the rear wheel wells still look kinda empty. That being said if that's what you have to do there's no functional downside.

Thanks for reply. Already upgraded to 315/70 18’s. (35.5x12.4x18)
