Jesus Christ guys. I was kidding. I even included the "cry laughing" emoji.
Edit: okay, I'll explain the intended vehicle for the humor. The diesel Jeep Gladiator appears to have overheating problems, which can be pretty extreme, as reported above at 264F. A common tactic to deploy humor is exaggeration. In the present instance, I was exaggerating the heat of the engine, by implying that it was hot enough to melt steel.
We can agree that it wasn't very funny, but how did you think I was serious?
I got it the first time ??‍♂??‍♂??‍♂

I thought I’d add my 2 cents;

I’ve owned 2 Ecodiesel Gladiators.

never “overheated” any of them in Phoenix during the hotter of the hot with full AC blowing.

but I decided to buy a 4000lb airstream (aero dynamic, short, rounded, light weight, narrow) and all hell broke loose. Basically I’m grounded to flat lands. The second I start climbing into the mountains I MUST slow down from 55mph to 35mph and turn off the AC. The truck will quickly go back to normal temps on the descent…

I am not sure what truly is “overheating” but I hit 244/264 (water/oil temp), feel the mushy pedal of derate.

I can’t see running an engine this hot good for longevity at all! And I have NO idea how this thing passed testing before being released.

I was contemplating buying another truck to tow, as last time I borrowed a truck for my trip. It occurred to me that this is unacceptable and going to try and lemon law/buyback this thing…

awesome vehicle, I’ve had 3 gladiators and 2 diesels… best Jeep ever made!!! But it needs to perform!!! Between the suspension being built with marshmallows and longer bumpstops, and inadequate cooling … just too many compromises that could have been solved during development … add to which, this Covid build stellantis takeover has resulted is SO MANY quality control issues. all these short comings can be overcome, but the cooling I fear is what it is , sadly.
