Does anyone know what this is (was)? The link to Etsy doesn’t work any more.
They were stickers/decals to place over the license plate lights.

I made my own out of some satin black vinyl wrap and they do a very good job at cutting down on the glare.

I bought this plug and play kit from the below Ebay seller. T-Harness for the left rear tail light and connector going to the license plate lights. Basically is a relay that cuts power to the license plate lights when it detects the reverse lights on.

Have used it with no issue on my last two Gladiators. The seller makes them in small batches so if it goes out of stock, just watch his listings and usually has new stock within a week or two. He sells other stuff for the JL/JT for doing proximity door lock conversion and actual door harness quick disconnect kits.

That's why I opt for the far less expensive options that I can duplicate myself.
If you'd use enough of the features, it may be cost effective, but for many/most, who only want a couple of things done, very easy to do with other things.
Gotta make yourself a list of features you may use or find really handy (being honest - for fun or need), then another list of other ways to do it and the costs associated with each. What's each worth to you? If you'd find yourself using more features, then that's the cost effective way to go.

For some this glare isn't even an issue, for others, the film over the lights resolved it, others - a shade to keep the light away from the camera.

There's a reason J-E-E-P is an acronym for other things.............you don't buy it one time......... it's a rest of your life payment plan.

I just went through the listing and the Auto start/stop, the license plate light, the tire size recalibrations, dark mode, activate bed lights/reverse lights from key fob, enable/disable PANIC button on key fob, Back up camera programed to the useless mute button, HIGH IDLE

The light show would be fun for the christmas parade :)

I think I just talked myself into one.

Get some painters tape and black spray paint. Tape off about ⅓ of the light (⅔ will be painted). A couple dollars for the fix. Plenty if light still to not get in trouble and much less glare.

For some of those things, I use JSCAN (such as high idle for winch, etc.) panic button never bothers me because I holster my fob, tire size I use JSCAN, some of the other things I've got or am designing circuits to take care of. It just didn't calculate for me.
Looks like it did for you.
I have the Oracle backup lights rigged through an aux switch so I can turn them on when needing light at the rear. Not fob activated but no big deal for me to reach in and hit an aux switch.
I'll do a relay for the license plate lights, already have most of the parts and am using a really small relay so it's going to be a very small setup.
I have the backup cam icon on the radio screen - so no biggy there (although it does time out after a while that way - press it again and it's on again)
It's all in what we value, I guess.

Sounds like you know what you must do!
I'd also add to your order - the extension cables so it's a lot easier to remove tazer for dealer visits in case they perform something with which tazer may interfere, or a flash, etc. Those extension cables are worth the price for sure, IMO, even if you don't use tazer. And they are very well made - just like factory wiring.

I can do some minor wiring and circuits I just don't really get the time to play in the driveway like I used to. And now that the school year is starting again, I've got a full load of classes to attend to (going back to college in your 40s sucks)
Thanks for the tip on the extension. I'll add that to the list

Adding to the functions that make a Tazer very useful are the ability to enable lockers in 2 hi or 4 hi, manipulate the nav in motion (UConnect doesn't speak Massachusetts accent all that well) and enable turn camera.

+1000 on buying the extension cable. After working on mine, I only want to access the SGW once in time of ownership. I don't think my hands can handle another access attempt.
