I'm going to be taking her in for the first oil change soon, so it might not be an issue I need to take care off...

Just let them know at the dealership, it’s a known issue. They replaced mine no questions asked.

There is an update for the 8.4 Uconnect that addresses some camera issues. Mine automatically downloaded and applied it. Have them check to see if there are any updates for your truck.

I just took delivery of May '21 production with this issue. Any idea which version this update is?

According to the Uconnect website, per my VIN, the software is up to date.

The camera update was issued about a year ago. If it did not automatically download, the dealer could apply it. Current models should not need it. If you are having camera issues, it is most likely the camera or cabling, but could be an issue with the head unit.

Picked up my Gladiator today and the first thing I noticed is both my trail cam and backup can are blurry as can be.
Nice to hear that it isn’t normal because my wife was already mocking me about how much better her camera is in her car .

Ill try to reactive this thread. I have this same issue. Back up camera is blurry no matter what time of day or conditions the truck is in. Trail Cam is perfectly clear with a crisp picture.

Been trying to find a fix for it.

I don't know of a fix yet. My forward cam is crystal clear. Back is blurry, randomly more or less so, with rare instances of clear image. Nothing I've tried has been a permanent fix.

Still the same here since picking it up new in 2019. Front camera is iPhone quality, rear camera is still flip phone quality.

I had one time, today when I put it in reverse the video was not sync'ed. wavy lines through the image. Shifting to park and back did not help.

Best stop after turning off then back on, all was fine.

Mine did this this morning. Hoping it'll be alright this afternoon,

I just added the OEM front trailcam and rear camera required for the system. Same pic as yours. What was your solution?

Prior to adding the CVPM and new rear camera, my backup cam was crystal clear.

Mine gets blurry sometimes; but only ever happens on Friday and Saturday nights.

PS my wife drives for those evenings when the camera is “blurry”

It’s about to get blurry.

I’ll have to staring playing around with correction lenses and tape them on the back camera.
