Ball Joint Delete

If something like this came along for the JT (maybe it has by someone else), would you do it? Thoughts on the claims (in other groups) where these are much stronger than ball joints? I figure if they're so good why dont the big players like Spicer, Synergy, etc offer them?

Well its probably stronger, but would wear out sooner under normal conditions.

Not a huge fan of heims or uniballs for daily drivers.

Apparently Eric Miller did this on his JT. If a guy that won KOH runs this tech, it's worth considering. I'm hotly debating this.

Looks kind of like the king pin suspension on old VWs, but with two short pins instead of one long king pin

Yeah. Looks kinda like the kingpin on my Dana 60.

Balljoints are inexpensive and likely fine for most uses. No sure how much you gain on something the size of a Dana 44.

For $500 shipped, the question is whether I want to go this route or try "HD" ball joints again. I went through multiple pairs of Synergy ball joints on my JK, wasn't impressed at all.

I pussed out when I re-geared. Went with Synergy BJs.

Was just thinking the same thing (I went with terraflex) and like clock work every 20k miles.

I've looked at these ball joint deletes. Was wondering how long the bearings would last. From what I was able to find out. The one guy said about every 3 years.

Also been looking at the double loaded ball joints like Rare Parts.

The deletes just look like uniballs? That was a big thing in the Tacoma circle and the uppers would last about 30k miles. Probably for a trail rig that gets beat on in remote areas, but not for a daily driver? A tight precision fit also causes sticky steering which I find to be a negative.
