I’m using an upper mount for mine. It doesn’t bother me at all but this will be subjective. There are a couple of reasons I went with the upper mount. First because that felt like the best way to keep it at the edge of my vision without being distracting. Second because I always grab the lower part of the handle to get in. For me the upper mount works perfectly.

Wanna buy an upper areoforce mount already on a pillar, if I can find my other pillar it’s yours. Switching to a dual mount

Thanks but It looks like that mount moves the gauge more into your line of sight and closer to the windshield which may not be a good fit with my interior Stealth Lightbar that runs along the top of the windshield. I think I'm going to stick with my initial choice which was the Banks upper mount. Going to sleep on it and decide tomorrow. But thanks for the offer.

Isn't the steering wheel/your hand going to block the lower view? Plus, the upper is already at eye level...all you have to do is look to the left.
I think you can reach above the lower mounted pod and still grab the handle but your point is well taken. And yes, the upper mount puts the gauge closer to or at eye level which is why I was worried about it possibly being a bit of a distraction when driving at night. But I checked and the dimming function is fully adjustable.

I've got the upper mount, but it doesn't mount on the grab handle like the picture. More tucked in, higher, and close to the windshield. Perfect height, doesn't take much to glance at it while driving.

I have had no issues with the upper mount.

I got the upper. Works fine. Up and out of the way is why I chose it. Up and out of the way means you’re looking up and out of the way though. A place you’re not normally looking.
Know I think the lower would be better. In the same line as all the dash gauges.

I also debated upper or lower, For me I am glad I went with upper. I generally grab the lower part of the handle to get it. Also, it keeps my eyes up for better peripheral on the road when I am briefly reading the gauge. I am sure both would've worked but I have no issue with my decision. Hope this helps. BTW love the gauge for my eco diesel and the parameters I can view.

I have the upper one. I don't find it distracting and actually find it the perfect height to easily look at it and make any changes I need as it is just above eye level so it doesn't take much to do a quick glance to see it and also if you set up the alarms on it, it is easy to see them go off.

Yeah, when we are offroad I pay a lot more attention to the road, not the gauge cluster, and the upper mount is perfect for a quick glance to make sure everything is ok.

I appreciate all the feedback. Placed my order for the iDash Pro and upper mount.
