almost 22,000 miles in 8 months, and only problem (knock on wood) is the infamous cracked jeep windshield.

Well, to be fair, looking on the forum for issues is like walking into a hospital looking for sick people. Of course you'll see it all here. But this is just a very small fraction of all the Gladiator owners out there, so the issues you see are not as widespread as the forum might make it seem. Even if it happens just once to just one person, it'll look bigger than it really is. People are always quicker to complain, they post up non-issues far less frequently (obviously).

What you're going to get here is all anecdotal bull crap, no real data points.

You are not "driving a time bomb".
This is an excellent description of things.

You should realize that there are scads of people on this forum that are having NO ISSUES AT ALL, WHATSOEVER...NONE.

Drive your Jeep...mod it up if you want...just enjoy it.

17,000 miles and some change. Manual Trans 2021 Rubicon 3.6. Only real issue, aside from mildly annoying vibrations coming from the hood/dash area, was the leaking right rear axle (so far so good after repair).
No misfires. No rear window leaks. No flashing lights on the dash. No death wobble. But most of us don't post to say "hey guys, nothing is wrong" haha.

It's a forum that's what they are for people to complain. 44,497 miles on my 2020 Max tow and only had the third brake light replaced under warranty. Also had the steering box replaced but mine was fine but went ahead and had them swap the aluminum one for the steel one under warranty. Other than that, all has been great.

I drove to Walmart, then Costco, then chipotle, and back home.

no issues.
none in the last 11 months. Only been at the dealer for two days for a wire that rubbed on a bolt. All fixed

Looked up JD Power ratings to get some data points and found the main problem is their dealerships dragging down the rating.
I bought mine through Gupton and It was fantastic experience. But I won't drive within a mile of my local dealer.

Long time Ford/Toyota fan here ... was looking for a new car after canceling my Bronco reservation (that was a disaster) ... I found nothing on the road compares to a Gladiator so I went for it ... my 1st jeep and had reliability concerns ... 3.6 motor has been proven so know worries there .. More electrical intermittent stuff.

FFWD to today ... 1 year 8k miles later with no issues ... Love my JT and will be purchasing again ... waiting for the new power plant options in a few years .. however the 3.6 with this 8spd is great! ... full ⚡or V8 who knows ? ... congrats and enjoy ...

Hmm, you could have gotten a Tacoma, no wait they have howling differential, odd shifting, and peeling paint. Wait maybe a Ridgeline, rats they have leaky rear windows and over-heating transmissions. Ok, how about a Colorado? Nope, bad transmission, car-like interior, and leaky oil coolers. Perhaps the Ranger, no it has misaligned body panels, seat latch issues, and a jerky transmission. I don’t even want get into the new Frontier fuel gage, panel figment, and electrical gremlins.
I say all this in jest. All car manufacturers are having issues as the vehicles we are purchasing continue to get more electronics and driveline programming. Enjoy whatever you buy and if you plan to keep it buy an extended warranty from the respective manufacturer before the original full warranty runs out. Usually within 3yrs/36k to be safe.

It seems a lot of the complaints I see are from individuals that never owned a Jeep before. This is my 5th Jeep and some of it I pretty much write off to its a jeep. Keep you expectations really low and you will rarely be dissappointed.

Oh, and by the way, I will keep buying them.

Even with the increased level of complication, vehicles built today are still leaps and bounds better than what was built 20+ years ago.

Forum membership numbers and what is posted is not a good correlation to draw broad conclusions from. I would speculate that over half the membership has less than 10 posts with the lions share 1 post or none.

Many join just to be one post chumps to bitch and then leave.

4500 miles, 16 months (yeah, I don't drive much), no problems - and I'm still satisfied with the purchase deal (Parkes CDJR Titusville).

My 20 Rubi has been loyal and caring since day one <3 (Almost 30k, zero issues) I take care of her and she takes care of me.

Let’s be real here guys. Hot chicks just need attention… make sure you take her on dates to the mountains and treat her to a few gifts.

Your relationship will be wonderful!

Wait wait.....I drove to work today with no issues. ?
Every day I have had to drive to work, the Jeep got me there. It even got me to vacations and getaways!

Every make and model will have issues, I take it all in stride and will go on with life.
