If I was bombing through the desert fast enough to activate my flux capacitor I wouldn't really be surprised if I fucked something up.

I guess we have these super low payloads for a reason. That spare hanging off the back probably creates quite a bit of leverage.

Well… it is a desert truck by design. Under designed but still it’s supposed to be a desert runner. That’s like saying my zr2 was not a desert truck. Upgraded frame upgraded shocks.. what’s the raptor got? Upgraded frame and shocks.

Isn't that what the Mojave was built for?
Sure that's a Mojave? The hood is wrong, no badging, and the tow hooks are wrong color... I know all that could have been changed... but it's odd...

I didn't look into what suspension GFC is running, but I have seen a bent Glad frame repair video on youtube that was a King coilover conversion. So instead of suspension loads being split into spring force at the stock spring bucket, and shock force at the upper shock mount, 100% of force with coilovers goes into the upper shock mount area. Not a good idea, turns out

And the ZR2 and Raptor are both IFS. When you're running that fast with a solid front axle on uneven terrain if you hit something bad on one side the whole thing can get shifty. There's a limit to the speed you're wise to be running at with the Gladiator no matter the shocks that are on it. False sense of security.

It sure would be nice to know what is actually causing this issue so we can avoid it all together? We may never know since most people are playing the victim and would conceal the possibility that something like shock length or bump travel was overlooked.

Just armchair QB here......My guess is shocks too long or over damped, bumps to short or under damped?

I can see the chassis flexing in my mirror when towing my YJ on a flatbed trailer. The gap at the top between the bed/cab absolutely opens up under a load.......Question is....How much is OK?

Is this an oversight when designing the frame and it's at limits in stock form? Introduce the wrong aftermarket combo and she tacos? Or is it failure to cycle/verify the suspension limits amplified by weight hanging off the back?

If the frame truly needs work, I'd yard the bed off and make some plates BEFORE it happens.........

Surely if the frame were the issue, this build would taco the frame in short order with a dual shock/forward mounted coilover? I cringed when I saw no additional bracing looked to be added. Would WFO report back to us if it did taco? My guess is that it would be handled in a locked up shop concealed from the public while still making it right to the client.......That's what I would do and then make an edited video of the additional support added as a revision so nobody watching the video would make the same mistake?

Was the frame changed from the Wrangler or just lengthened?

FYI, I edited this post you quoted to add more info......

Wrangler has shocks mounted at the rear of the axle? I'm sure there is just a different rear section added to the front section of a Wrangler frame much like a 6.5' vs 8' Ram pickup frame? Not much reason to design a completely different offering?

Right but on the 6.5 vs 8 you're already dealing with a pickup frame, vs taking one not originally designed for a bed with the flex that comes with it, lengthening it, and adding a bed. Seems like some added bracing would be helpful.

Maybe the tube in the section front under the passenger seating area is heavier than a wrangler....IDK. I can tell you most certainly that driving over smooth rollers I can hear the door/roof gaskets squeaking letting me know there IS flex happening in the center of the chassis. Some flex has to occur or it will break? The question is how many cycles before it bends or breaks?

How would be know that the JL/JT frames were designed together at the same time with the future in mind from the ground up? We won't! Same time Jeep would never take responsibility for someone creating a dynamic damaging the frame even if if "should" have been able to withstand some modifications? It's outside of thier original design? Why did they add material to the Mojave frame? Must have needed it?
