JKS J Venture 3-3.5”. I couldn’t be happier. They sell it with an option for Fox2.0 shocks as the middle of the road option. Very cost effective and makes a great daily driver and rock crawler. If you have a rubicon, you’ll gain about 3”. If you have a sport or overland you’ll get 3.5”.

What I’m curious about with the JVenture lift is if anyone is off-roading with that lift? I’ve been in contact with JKS, and they said the J Venture lift is more for on road and light off road. They recommended the JKrawl kit.

Next week I’m doing the readyLIFT 4” front 3” rear lift. I bought that with Falcon 2.1 shocks along with 4” diesel springs and a Clayton rear track bar, I’m into it for under 2300. I’ll update with results when I’m done

Does the rubicon trail count? :) it does amazing. It’s not geared for road use, but is geared for those that want a well-mannered daily driver that can also conquer some of the toughest trails out there. I’ve had it in Moab 5 or six times since the lift and it crawls over things with ease. But then it still tows our trailer safely at 75mph on the way home. It’s a nice lift.

That’s why I’m asking you guys out there who are using it off road. I also told the JKS tech that I’ll have a winch, bumper, go fast camper, miscellaneous camping gear and 3 passengers. Apparently the J Venture isn’t designed for that kind of weight? I’ll definitely be at max payload for the Rubicon. Guess I’ll just have to empty everything out if we hit some hard trails….

It’s great off road. I’m using BDS (same company as JKS) springs in the rear, technically designed for a ram 1500 with a 3” lift. I got them before any lift companies were making purpose built hd rear springs. They work great empty or loaded up. BDS 032308R is the part number. I’m also using BDS Fox 2.0 shocks to match those rear springs. Fox is the same company as JKS and bds. Sport Truck USA is the parent if I recall correctly.

I’ll definitely check it out and those springs. Thanks for the info.

What do you want to do with your lift?

If you are just trying to clear larger tires and the extent of your off road will be gravel roads and muddy fields, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a small spacer lift and relocation brackets.

If you are looking for a budget friendly lift that rides well on the highway, you would do better to get a lift that comes with nicer shocks and geometry relocation brackets with mostly rubber bushings

If you are looking for a budget friendly lift that you plant to put in off-camber situations and flex out the suspension, I would recommend a kit geared more towards the articulation and durability with flex joints or misalignment spacers.

Do OEM Ram 1500 springs actually fit on the gladiator?
I’ve never tried, but if 3” lift springs for it do, conceivably they would. It wouldn’t be that surprising for spring perches to be shared between the platforms.

What kind of maintenance do these require? JKS has a Black Friday 20% shocks included, which may pull me away from my preference of Metalcloak True Dual with their house shocks.

This is an old post. I’d steer you away from most of their stuff at this point. It’s mostly a customer service issue.
