What is the advantage of jet seal and V07 over the Extreme Wash and Wax and the Mr. Pink wash as well?
Mr Pink is a good all around wash. I use the V07 wash in sync with their spray sealant....after every wash, I hand dry, then do a quick V07 spray treatment. I Jet Seal every six months. It's not as good as ceramic coating but bugs and mud literally spray off and it preserves the wax for a longer period.

I like the honeydew wash as well...mainly because it smells good...haha!! Big thing is always keep something on the paint. Wax, seal, etc. There are a million ways to go about it. NEVER USE DISH SOAP!!!! I use Dawn when Im feeling froggy and want to strip everything off the paint...it does a good job of that! But CG sells Clean Slate that does the same and has a better pH balance.

Hope this helps...good luck!

My brother owns a high end detailing shop and has shown me "the way of the detailing force". If you get into compounds, wet sanding, buffing, etc. we only use Meguiar's compounds, pads and a Rupes polisher. Their stuff is hard to beat!

That's a good tell right there that it's well sealed from things getting into the surface - they can't take a good hold if they rinse off easily.

I never washed my Gladiator from December to July then took the plunge to get it ceramic coated. From there I have an unopened CG Honeydew soap I haven’t used yet because I’m finishing up the Turtle Wax soap I bought at Costco. I use this with a foam canon and it works producing nice suds. Instead of hand drying I use a Toro 725cfm blower to dry. If there isn’t much road grime that needs to be hand washed with a wash mitt, it’s a true touch less care washing experience. With the leaf blower it also gives me a reason to blow off all the leaves and dust from my driveway as well before I start washing.

The ph levels of the soap do make a difference whether they can lift some of the road grime off. Dust and mud are one thing, road grime with oils etc is different and as mentioned by others, the ph levels above neutral help to get some of that off.

Just know that higher pH is also harsh on whatever you are using to protect the paint. Strip washes are just that, high pH soaps. Ceramics will definitely hold up better, but the hydrophobic properties can be reduced quicker.

Yes should have mentioned that...this is how you can strip old wax and sealants when you are going to reapply and recoat.

Labour day, I used a pH neutral wash.. forget the brand. Then followed up with Chemical Guys, Black Light Hybrid Glaze and Sealant. Really pleased with the results. Cheers!

Do you use a tire shine? If so, what kind?

I was using Chadwick's Triple Play on my 1970 Mach 1. I really like it and tried it on my Gladitor. Works great on that as well.

The Triple Play is kind of weird. You spray it right on the dirt and wait a few seconds. It softens the dirt and you wipe it off. No kidding, it really works. (If your vehicle has a lot of mud, you'll have to spray that off first.) I tried every kind of wash method before with the exception of a foam cannon. Anything that touched the paint scratched it. The Triple Play stuff doesn't scratch.

I tried Triple play at the recommendation of Rick Schmidt, the guy who owns National Parts Depot. He has a MIND BLOWING collection of original, unrestored, extremely low-mileage cars. He said he really liked the Triple Play, so I gave it a try. Chadwick's also has a very good "No Sling" tire dressing I like to use.

The reality is washes and waxes are like motor oil. And it's all like religion. Everyone believes theirs is best. So, just go with what you like.

I use P21s for pretty much everything. I've trued the CG stuff and its medium tier at best.

I use Adam's detail sprays and Klasse All in one for light duty [non abrasive]polish.

The P21s wheel cleaner is the best stuff i've ever used. The soap is great stuff! It's small but a little goes a long long way.

I second the Blacklight (the soap). I buy it (and most of my CG's stuff) by the gallon, makes it significantly more cost effective.

Blacklight is about the best I've used, CG or otherwise. I don't only use it for my black car and truck. Makes my Sting Gray Glad shine really well too.

If you have a dark colored Gladiator, I highly recommend the Mr. Pink for Chemical Guys. I tried multiple soaps from auto part stores and Wally World and all had the same issue, water spots. My wife bought me a Chemical Guys gift bucket at Christmas and it had the Mr. Pink in it. On my black Glad, I barely have to dry it and leaves hardly any water spots. It cut a lot of the hard work out for me.
