Have a 2020 Sport S Max Tow. Recently lifted it at a well reputable auto shop (my fault because they don't lift jeeps often if ever). It's been in an out of there 3x's in 10 days. The major annoyance is going over small bumps on our garbage city street cause more noise than going over an elevated railroad track. It's almost a clunk/rattle to light popping in front end and some in the rear.

Mods/additions:
2.5 Inch Skyjacker Dual Rate Long Travel Suspension w/ Black MaX shocks and upgrades coil springs
dual steering stabilizer by rough country
AEV geometry correction brackets
HD front track bar
HD drag link

Yes I added 35's but I'm running them at 26-28psi. This is my 3rd lifted jeep but my first issue of this magnitude.

My theory is the bump stop and the coil springs are rubbing and the tension is causing one to pop over the other. If so how do you fix this. The bump stop isn't centered and feel this might be it. However, I've read many people with bump stops not centered and no issue. AND/OR feel the coil springs aren't installed correctly. When I got the jeep back the 3rd time it drove pretty well but within 24 hrs it made its way back to garbage. This makes me think something isn't staying tight or shifting.

I'm taking the jeep to a reputable shop that frequently lifts and works on aftermarket modded jeeps this Thursday. Just want to be able to help them diagnose the issue efficiently.

Could really use some direction here to start enjoying my ride again.

Noise coming from front or rear? Pictures would help.
Mostly the front but some in the rear. Don't have any pictures at the moment.

All 4 coil springs must be indexed. If they were just tossed in there and not properly seated in the isolators that would explain some of the issues your are describing. Also, 26-28 PSI seems a but low for 35s. What's the load rating? I'd think 30-33 would be the mark but they best way to know proper inflation is doing a chalk test.

Chalk test done and 26-28 is solid. It's an around town vehicle so if I do highway travel I'll prob up it to low 30's for MPG and handling purposes, but the tires are good. Running 35x12.50/17 MT Baha Legend EXPs.. been a week and I'm beyond impressed so far.

And thank you for the thoughts. I truly do think it's a coil spring issue at this moment in combination with some compenants needing retorqued and I'm leaning towards upgrading the Tie Rod ends too to help.

How many miles on your JT? My '20 wore out the tie rod and drag link at 30k miles. I was running mopar 2", geo brackets, and 35s. I'd notice a shimmy after hitting expansion joints. Checking torque specs on everything is a good idea too.

25.5k... sounds relatively close to yours. I just got it 2 months ago so depends on how the other owner drove it I guess.

Well I think your on the right track by checking the index of the coil springs and then moving from there.

Following this thread.

I've got a similar issue with my 2022. Installed 3.5" Metalcloak GC lift, drag link, tie rod, steering stabilizer all within a few weeks and noticed the clunking/rattle sound as well. Hard to say it's the exact same but sounds very familiar from what you're describing. After a few weeks, I re-torqued everything (some things were definitely loose), and it seemed to help a little, but it is still there. As far as I can tell, the springs are properly indexed.

You've probably done it, but make sure everything up front is tight and torqued.

I was going to take it to a good shop in the area just haven't had time to get over there. (we installed the lift ourselves, so it very well could be installer error, but we've done lifts in the past with success...) I can report back if anything gets figured out.

Another thing to check is control arm torque ... the spec is rather high and IMO a lot of the aftermarket specs are too low. I was experiencing a metallic sound up front and found my driver side upper control arm to be under torqued.
