The lift height would be an incidental gain in this situation. The shock lengths would need to be looked at as while no shock is installed to be either fully extended or fully compressed at the limits of travel ( bump stops ) how much free play there actually is is important. You know they aren’t long enough when you hear an awful thud/clunk on extension and or compression.
very well stated. thank you for that! i suppose ill upgrade to ruby coils when i upgrade shocks. i just dont wanna lose my smooth quiet ride i have now. so perhaps i will do nothing and enjoy the smoothness

The shocks from the sport and rubicon are very similar. Only difference is one set is better and the rubicon have 1/2 less compression in the front.

You will need the shocks as well or a shock extender which I would not recommend. You should be able to get the springs and Fox shocks off of somebody upgrading to the mopar lift.
So I can't upgrade just the spring if I want to swap out a Max tow for a Rubicon spring?

Sport S and Rubicon Shocks are the same length. However most of the up travel of the Sport S shocks is used-up/wasted because the stock springs are too soft.

You can swap Springs only if you want. But you remove the shocks as part of the swap so might as well swap shocks too.

Not my video but a good summary of the process and the benefits.

I did the swap by myself in my driveway using the stock scissor jack and lug nut wrench and some stands. Rear was shocks only, front springs and shocks. Easier with 2 or more people.
