Hey folks,

I was reading today and saw where the Mojave X comes with some different springs because it has the steel bumper. This week I ordered these:
https://www.extremeterrain.com/offi...ront-bumper-led-lights-jeep-logo-jg19732.html
https://www.extremeterrain.com/offi...per-with-led-jeep-logo-backlight-jg28013.html

To install a winch so I can get on some trails this spring. I'm now concerned I may have gotten the cart before the horse and need some additional modifications before I install these. What do I need, or what should I do prior to install? I'm opting for the badlands 12000 pound winch with the synthetic rope to keep weight down fwiw.

On my OEM Mojave spring with the AEV spacer lift I added the Rugged Ridge bumper and Warn EVO VR10 winch w/syn rope. The front sagged only about 3/8"

So honestly, you should be good

I just have 3/4 spacers in my MOJAVE. But i wouldn't say its necessary as my bags are. I would recommend ditching the rear cus the stock plastic does fine. The stock recovery hooks are worth it imo. I beat the shit out of my truck and the only reason i have a steel front bumper is for a winch.

Can you please reword your first sentence? Seem like you’re alluding the airbags being important?

I had to get another rear bumper anyway to accommodate the backup sensors I’m adding that didn’t come with this almost 60k vehicle 🙄. I figured I’d just match them, that was really the only reason for the change.

On my first Mojave I kept the plastic bumper and added the RockHard winch plate and a Quadratec 10,000 lb winch. The new one is coming with the steel bumper group, so just a winch is in my near future 🤣

Weight concerns is why I went with a Rock Hard mid-width aluminum front bumper. It weighs less than the OEM plastic one it came with. I added a Warn Zeon 10 but I use steel cable as synthetic doesn't stand up to the type of work I use my winch for. No sag at all and I also have the AEV Mojave specific 2" lift.

Any issues with the rock hard plate on the plastic bumper? I worry about air flow and am torn between that and a stuby steel bumper

I have the exact same setup as this and the only bad part is you hit your bump stops frequently. The front didn't sag much but the added weight seems to be a bit much for the soft mojave springs. I'm thinking about swapping out the front to a 3 " coil and leave the Aev puck in the rear.

airbags are better cus i can take out squat progressively as i add gear but i can run em empty for when its is unloaded. keeps it handling stock no matter what.
