Hope yours makes the list someday bud!
I do, too. I've got a long way to go. It was -5*F a few days ago, so I took this picture. The 2015 only has 126,000+ miles on the odometer.

Your only live once and life is too short. Get whatever you preferred and enjoy it than living with the what if. Unlike the Pentastar, most of the diesel issues are with the external components and not the actual engine internal.

It is all relative. 21 and 22 were COVID year builds that dealers where loading out when ordering because they were getting full MSRP+. With few exceptions, most Jeepers on the forums do not get wrapped up in the "I got a one of one" like the Corvette guys do.

If you are thinking about buying it, just do your research and realize it is a buyers market for used with prices even going down more in the coming months if the talk or 30%-35% MSRP reductions pan out.
Used prices have already crashed. I bought a 23 Freedom Edition at 30% off in Dec 23 43K. Great deal. Then a week ago saw a 70K Rubicon for 47K and change. Thought I'd go check. It was a great deal but the trade in on my 23 Freedom was like 27kish and I owe 32, so no deal.

The OP needs to negotiate hard. the internet pricing was still showing mine worth 33K. I checked around and no one will match right now.

Someone else got the X... But I"m good I did get a killer deal. Love the Gladiator.

Don't be scared of that Jeep. Best powertrain combo ever installed in the platform. I'm close to 90k trouble-free miles on my 2020 JLRD. Did the pump recall just because. Do yourself a favor and drive a 3.6 then the diesel back to back. I didn't even consider a new Jeep until I found out the diesel was being offered. Ordered the JL then a JT when it was offered with the 3.0. Extremely happy with both.

We have 5 jeeps in the family. Two gladiator diesels, (21 and 23) and three 4xe’s. (Two 23s and a 24)
One 4xe has had a tranny replacement (porous case), the other (23) has had multiple electrical issues. It’s currently at the dealer for a module and harness replacement due to water intrusion. It’s my daughter’s jeep, and has never been off-road. To be fair, so far, the 24 has been fine. We found a Gladiator diesel with relatively low k’s on it. My daughter’s 4xe is getting traded as soon as it’s out of the shop. I previously had a gladiator diesel as a work truck in addition to the two we currently own. We’ve had no problems with any of those.

I have a 23 JT with the 3.0 V6 and a 16 Promaster with the 3.0 L4. I love both of them. However. Repairs are expensive and there seems to be a shortage of competent people to work on them. The passive regeneration system (DPF) doesn’t really work until the unit is fully warmed up so excess short trips seems hard on emissions system of all diesels. I have started doing my own maintenance which seems to be working in my favor, less mysterious additional malfunction after a dealer visit. Ultimately a gamble as repairs are very expensive if you end up with a problem. I guess the drivability and economy outweigh my risk concerns.

This is exactly the same for me. It is my first Jeep and I drove the Pentastar and Ecodiesel back to back and was won over instantly. I even still have the original HPFP because the dealership close to me refused to give me the old pump and the one I ordered my truck from hasn't called me back when I left a message(1.5 years ago🤷‍♂️).

I live in diesel country. Our dealer sold a ton of EcoDiesels, but they only get two HPFPs each month. I was on the list for a little over a year when I got the recall for the 2020 EcoDiesel. I'm still on the waiting list for the 2015 EcoDiesel. By the time our 2023 Jeep Gladiator was built (December of 2023), it actually came factory with the new HPFP.
If you want to go for a drive you should come over to San Antonio, TX and go to Ancira Jeep. When I bought my JT I took it there for the recall and they had the new HPFP in 4 days and the recall was done a week later because I was out of town but they would of had it completely down in under a week had I been available. They are also a dealership that has a few master techs working for them. They also don't have to get approval from FCA for most warranty repairs.

I would steer clear of Jeeps diesel- too many issues have been reported to make me feel confident of that power plant. Im sure I’ll get flamed for this, but there’s a reason it was discontinued after a short run. I’m a huge fan of diesel engines but not this one
Could be wrong ...but I'm pretty sure the diesel was discontinued because EPA not because of issues. The hurricane was debuted and replaced the diesel in more prominent platforms

Yes the diesel has heating issues in the JL/JT but not by engines design but by cooling capacity allowed by these platforms.

I never thought I would own a new wrangler because of the prices are outrages..but then came the Gladiators...but still couldn't justify the price on launch (a sport with power windows and locks in gator was 47k in 2020)...but when the diesel was launched I grabbed gladiator in mid 21 and never looked back! 47k on the ticker no issues just the silly recalls.

Brother has a 16 grand Cherokee with 100k and it's been trouble free as well (older gen diesel )

Before I bought my diesel I did a ton of research and found that almost everyone that bad mouths the ecodiesel and says they have all these problems has never even owned one. 99% of people that do actually own the ecodiesel love them. There is always going to be the one off that has issues no matter what engine it is. Having had both a 3.6L Gas JT and 3.0L Diesel JT I will take the Diesel JT any day of the week. My gas JT had a 3inch lift on 35s and I was getting 12-13mpg. My Diesel has a 6.5 inch lift on 42s and I get 17mpg-20mpg and it does awesome off-road.

It was discontinued due to part availability. They didn't have enough High-Pressure Fuel Pumps to supply both the recall and production.

I bought a 2023 Diesel Gladiator because my 2015 Diesel Grand Cherokee has provided such good service. Now I have two Diesel Jeeps1
As the saying goes when you know you know. I always say that there is a reason why 18 wheelers are all diesel and after owning 4 diesel coaches (RVs), I ordered my 2020 diesel Rubicon Fully loaded for a tow behind vehicle. I have had zero issues and always have a smile on my face when gassers try to follow me uphill. I am now in search of a used diesel Gladiator and like you will soon have 2 diesel Jeeps.

So what about all the other manufacturers that used the CP4 across the bored? Ram/Cummins...GM/duramax...ford/power stroke...Nissan/Cummins ...they didn't drop their diesels because of manufacturing delays of the CP3...I think BMW maybe was affected too.

The hurricane is more efficient alternative than the ecodiesel and the push for electric cars is immense . Take into account a lot of JL/JT gas owners refuse to pay the premium for the ecodiesel AND pay for DEF...I'm sure the story is similar across the platforms FCA offered the ecodiesel

There are different versions of the CP4 pump. Nobody else is running the recalled pump. There are still thousands of pumps backlogged just for the recall.

The EcoDiesel is more fuel efficient than the Hurricane engine. We see that in the EPA fuel numbers. As for demand, the EcoDiesel had always met and exceeded sale expectations. As a matter of fact, FCA had to increase production due to the higher demand.
