I am old school. I use Torco 85-140 non synthetic rated GL-6. Better than GL 5.
Not better really for our uses.

GL-5 is for axles operating under various combinations of high-speed/shock load and low-speed/high-torque conditions

GL-6 is for high pinion offsets, more for scoring protection.

Gee, GL-5 is just fine for Jeeps - low speed, high torque, shock load. We don't have high pinion offsets so 6 isn't really going to be any better.
You can use it, but it won't be any better in our axles.

Not arguing against it, but you are the only person I have ever seen mention that grade and use of a GL-6 gear oil in these axles. Seems pretty niche.

I started using it when I herd that Currie was using it in their builds. I don't know if they still do. I am probably going OCD on this.

Currie made the high 9 axles (and other high pinion axles) that were being ran as rear axles it's probably the big reason why.
No shame, just a potential reason.
A big reason I use the brand that I do is a lazy reason.

The bladder is easy to use, then refill with the gallon containers of gear oil. My only "first choice" is synthetic of best priced brand. But I have 10 axles that use the stuff.
Another tip is to save the empty bladders, (clean out then filled with ATF) it makes filling T-case up a lot easier too.

How do you clean them out?

Unscrew top flush with choice solvent drain n dry re-use. In my case since I was going to flush a transfer case a few times I just filled with ATF and used them for that. for Reuse for gear oil, nothing but refill and use. Dang sure easy compared to dragging a gallon of whatever fluid your refilling then trying to pumped into dang fill plug hole. Needing 3 hands one to hold tube in hole, one to pump other to keep it container from turning over or moving around.

Been using Royal Purple in everything since 2004 w/o issues.

Again, a subjective conversation

But are you "way overweight"? Cause apparently according to Pepe only/most such people use ramps when changing the oil in a JL/JT. ?
Why would you jack it up or use ramps to change the oil in a Gladiator? You’d have to be really obese to need that. Otherwise, it’s just extra time added. Mine isn’t lifted and I’m not little, 6’1”, 205 and I have like 6-8” inches to spare. I’d have to be 300+ lbs to need to lift it. It’s tight under our 2018 Colorado, but I also do it without lifting it. The Gladiator is the easiest oil change I’ve ever dealt with. Both are actually pretty easy…

I roll it up on the ramps because it helps the oil drain out the plug towards the rear of the pan. I also do a lot of crawling around under there doing a nut and bolt check; in the fall I'm also spraying the underside with lanolin to protect it from the salt. All of that is easier on the ramps.

For a LSD rear, if the valvoline squeeze pack 75w140 already has the friction modifier should i add the Mopar additive? would it hurt if i ran the same 75w140 in the front to save money on a gal?

I would add the modifier anyways. It is a mixed bag on whether or not it is needed with Valvoline. A bit extra modifier is not going to hurt anything.

Yes, you can use 75W-140 in the front also. It is what DANA ships with in their aftermarket sold Advantek assemblies.

One of them is wrong. Either 75W-85 or 75W-140 was put into the rear axle of my Gladiator at the factory. I am certain that Jeep has records of what oil was being put into the rear differentials of Max Tow JTs in early September 2019. That fluid should be what I replace mine with. UNLESS, Jeep is implying in its manual that in order to get the safest/maximum towing capability you need to switch the rear axle 75W-85 with 75W-140 fluid, and go back to 75W-85 when not towing. And if differentials go bad from the wrong lubrication, I wonder how hard it would be to convince Jeep corporate that they messed up in telling thousands of Jeep owners which fluids to use.

For now, I'm going to wait to hear back from Jeep as I inquired about the discrepancy. The answer is not coming from OEM suppliers, it's from Jeep's people. I have at least 2 people involved in the JT's development on technical matters telling me 2 different things. Both are looking at Jeep/FCA/Stellantis official internal documents, so eventually I'll get an answer that I can bank a potential/future (hopefully will never happen) warranty claim should the wrong differential fluid cause damage to my rear differential.
I agree with 75/140. I’ll be using Amsoil severe gear 75/140. Stinger gear box company says they recommend it exclusively. It’s on a 790 hp nitrous air boat. If it’ll stand that , it’ll stand anything that Mojave can dish out. 😃
