If yours came with a little bracket that looks like it holds a light bar, you can bolt it to the bottom holes of the bumper and use it for your license plate. Get the screws tight enough so the license plate isn’t flipping around but also tight enough that you can tuck it up under when wheeling.

I put mine on top but I like your idea of putting it on the bottom. Might try that.

Mine won’t sit flush on the top like that because I have the Factor55 pacifier on my winch line so I had to go lower.

For those of you that have run this bumper for a while, how have they held up in the weather? Any rust starting? I live in the Midwest and our winters out here can be rough with the treatments they put on the roads, etc

Hey ya'll, trying to install mine now and running into a bracket issue. Wondering if anyone else had the same or if I'm doing it wrong lol

I thought this was to tie into the bolt hole as seen in the photo.

One of the ebay bumpers. I scuffed everything up with a few scotch pads, painted with a zinc epoxy and finished with a gloss epoxy. Most everything lined up fine, in hindsight I would have checked some of the inner pieces and the fit of the endcaps.

I also bought the correct metal skid plate for a steel bumper. I found it on Amazon.

As I recall, my bracket looked similar...it looks like the hole is not in the proper place. Your winch mount appears different than mine.

@howeitsdone I had this issue on our 22JLU and when I transferred the eBay bumper to my 21 Mojave I reused the factory brackets and threw the brackets that came with the eBay bumper in the scrap bin. Just finished mounting my SS3s and Morimoto headlights last weekend.

Another option is the aluminum version sold under MP Concepts to save weight. I'm working on doing the install now. Also comes with the aluminum skid and winch plate I sold. Went with Grimm plate. I'm going to grab another bumper for the future as a back up black Friday deal from Extreme Terrain.

Were you able to install the MP Concepts aluminum bumper on your Rubicon?
Thats what I want to do but the website says it doesn’t fit.

Hi Yes I did but ready for a pain install mostly with the winch space. I used the big warn Xeon Platinum 12S. A smaller winch will be easier. I also did it with out grinding the frame horns.
