I was really impressed speaking with Clayton as well. I really wanted to grab there kit but have no patience as it’s back ordered until end of this month maybe next. So I grabbed the Rock Krawler kit instead. The only thing I didn’t like with Clayton was no easy sway bar disconnect. Unless I missed it? And yes they did say the 2.5 kit was really 3 inch lift.

but I don’t believe that comes with there kit.
No its not included... Mine was ordered from Clayton & installed at the same time. I made this spreadsheet when I was shopping for my lift. There was about 200 bucks more for Clayton then MetalCloak, including the quicker disconnects. Which put it just a little bit cheaper then the RocKrawler kits.

Prices may of changed since I put this together

Nice spread sheet. No taxes with Clayton either I believe. I got my kit with Morris 4x4 and they had 10% off on top of there lower price. They also price match up to a year which is nice.

JL kits are currently set to ship out 9/30! Happy to hear you were impressed with our team :) Our kits do not currently come with quick disconnecting end links since the Rubicon models have no use for this feature, but we do offer the JKS disconnects for anybody looking for to add quick disconnects to a Sport/Sahara model!

well, I ended up not going with RockKrawler so I’m back in the market. I know you have a military discount but don’t see the code anywhere.

However not sure if the EVO springs would ride better as the overland kit maybe designed for carrying weight. I currently don’t have any overland gear or bumpers weighing down the vehicle so body roll is a bit drastic at first. driveshafts need to be changed as well. If your not doing any hardcore four wheeling u can get away with it for a while. And I am not sure if anyone else is exsperiencing the wandering and pulling from the gear box. Hopefully getting mine swapped soon utilizing the service bulletin from Jeep. If u are you might want to wait on the lift until u get it swapped. Anyone have any questions let me know as I have done an ungodly amount of research on all this.

It looks great! I am currently waiting on this exact lift , ordered it on the Labor Day sale , are you saying it rides bad? what exactly do you mean by "drastic body roll"? How does it ride/drive compared to stock?

No but 3.5 inches is high. It turnes a lot of heads and I get a lot of compliments. The front springs are 4.5 inches cause the weight of the engine will bring it down to 3.5. The kit is beefy and the parts are quality. But if you have been driving around stock for a while you will notice the body roll going over bumps and turning. Make sure you take to someone who knows how to align with all 8 arms being adjustable. Make sure your thrust angle is right as your axles will want to shift to one side but with the adjustable track bars easily correctable. This lift maybe designed for someone who is going to ad a lot of weight with overlanding gear.

It doesn’t ride bad at all. However I am exsperiencing the wandering and over correcting issue that maybe from the steering gearbox that Jeep put a service bulletin out on. Hopefully this will correct my issue and make it a bit more enjoyable to drive. When it comes in let me know if you have any issues installing. It’s no small undertaking. It took me 2 days in garage. U have any questions let me know. I also went with the fox 2.0 shocks.

My Clayton 2.5" was more like 3.5-4". With JKS disconnects I maxed out the front fenders of the Overland. Why we went to the OHV park... see where the limits are. Right now we are limited by the fenders.
