Hey folks,
I would like to say thank you for a wonderful 5 years as a part of this Gladiator community. This truck brought my wife and I so much joy and took us on countless (memorable) adventures over the past 5 years. I must admit I probably enjoyed the modifications just as much as the journeys and I hope my contributions to this forum over the years helped other members... that's what the community is all about. I'll keep it short and just say thank you again! Here's a few transformation photos from day 1 to the final send off :)

So why you leaving?
We are stepping up to a full size truck for longer trips with the Scout Tuktut and a little more room. We are no longer taking the "wheeling" overland trips like we used to and plus all of our camping couples are now in full size rigs so we all tend to hit the same trails and terrain together.

Power Wagon ??
It was highly considered but unfortunately not. It is a gas powered full size though. Sorry, I'm not trying to be cryptic but I'd rather stay away from the conversation of the new purchase and just say that I think the Gladiator is still the best mid-size truck platform for modifications and capability. I will tell you that I was trying to hold out for the new Scout Motors Terra Harvester in 2027-2028 though... a lot about that truck intrigues me and I could see myself dipping my toe into the electric truck market (with gas generator) with that vehicle.

You can stick around even if you don't have a Gladi. Heck, I'm still on the Tacoma forums and I dont have a Taco anymore.

Oh I will :) I gotta keep up on the trends and finally see if a V8 ever comes to fruition in the JT. I am still on the FJ Cruiser forum from over a decade ago. I love all things cars/trucks.

...the proper way to "farewell."

And props for keeping your full size identify vague. We all know forum trolls love to disparage replacement vehicles. "What did you get?" "Got a sweet deal on a Buttcrack 3000." "OMG. That thing has a lower tow rating and my 4th cousin had a ton of problems with his. Good luck spooning Satan in Hell." "Um, yeah, thanks..."

I've always gotten a giggle out of how deeply some folks seem to care about what other people drive.

Maybe my Gen-X is showing.....but I bought the current truck because I liked it, not because someone else did.
