Well, I finally finished installing the backup lights and wiring them up. I am very pleased with the end results.

Very nice job. :like:

I think your rectangle KC flood lights may put out more light than the round Rigid Ignite lights I used, but the Rigid are a very positive improvement over the stock backup lights at night.

Incidentally, I thought the upper-outer 7mm bolt on the mounting plates was very challenging to remove and reinstall.

Thanks for all the ideas and help on this thread!
Because I wanted to use them as back up lights I went with the ones noted on this thread and found on Amazon for under $30. Also purchased a 12x12x1/8 piece of black plexiglass to fabricate a bracket using the reflector as a template.
Super happy with the way it came out!

The lights aren't here yet, so I will finish this up next weekend. I will wire the amber marker lights into the aux switch powering my front bumper amber lights and I will wire the white reverse lights to an aux switch.

installed. I'll get a night picture tonight. The amber halo is tied into my front aux 1 amber lights. The white light is on aux 2. I did have to shave a little plastic off and also notch the inside inner part of the metal bumper behind the plastic on each side.

These turned out great. Any pics similar to your first pic of the halos at night with and without the center lights on?

wow, these are bright and I like the amber marker light. Rigid also has blue, red, green halos to choose from. A bit expensive at $260 plus I bought 25 feet of 14-gauge 3-wire from Lowes (2 hots and a ground) and wired them thru a pig-tale in case I ever need to remove the rear bumper. The picture doesn't show it, but the amber light looks light a oval halo at night, not a blur as pictured.

$250 and most of the hard work is already done.
I just wonder if they have any waterproof rating. I would hate to get condensation in there.

I'm good with the gap, not too bad.

Just curious why the wiring harness has two relays, and how it connects to the JT.

I would love if Rigid would come out with brackets like this for some of their different lifts they offer as backup packages. If I had the tools I'd fabricate own.
