I'm good with the gap, not too bad.

Just curious why the wiring harness has two relays, and how it connects to the JT.
is that your JT? you already got em? Can you do a photo from about 12-15 feet back, in the daylight....standing on one foot? j/k about that last part.

If I had the tools I'd fabricate own.
oh you don't need much for tools. just some thin gauge metal from big box store, a sharpie, tin snips/dremel, jig saw, hack saw, a drill and proper sized drill bit, rattle can, some button head bolts with nyloc nuts.

=)

I'm going to tackle this soon I think. Can't decide on the lights to mount yet though.

No, not my JT. I got that photo from the manufactures/sellers sight:
https://www.visionxusa.com/shop/20-jeep-gladiator-reverse-light-kit/

Made my own, a couple pages back in this thread (page#4?)
https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...t-lights-rear-bumper.20747/page-4#post-439007

Edit: I used 1/8 inch (3.175 mm) aluminum plate, stronger than plastic, easier to work with than steel.

If I were doing it over I probably would use something like these, best bang for the buck. Backup lights are not going to get a lot of hours of usage on them.

Make sure you use flood not spot lights.

If mounting on the backside of your plate be careful of clearance issues with the body depending of the thickness of the lights you use. I was lucky, mine just barely had enough clearance.

maybe to have them as both reverse lights and aux lights like someone on here wrote about. I think they look nice installed.

Well, I finally finished installing the backup lights and wiring them up. I am very pleased with the end results.

I think @AJ-MJ used the same ones @mazeppa suggested below.

Which ones did you go with first time around @mazeppa?

I used Rigid Ignite flood
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HJ4G9QI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I drilled a 1-1/8 inch hole in my plate because that is a size of drill bit I already had; a 1 inch that I didn't have would've also worked.
i thought you did the rigid ones. I like how the hole is so small, but you're right, those lights are expensive for what little use i'll get out of them. probably smarter to go with the amazon specials and save some dough for some additional scene lighting by rigid......

wait, can these still be flood lights without having some kind of frosted glass difuser?

Like the purpose made ones you bought from rigid.

I guess so (?), I seen Rigid, KC and other LED lights listed as flood lights with a clear lens.

@steffen707 said - "wait, can these still be flood lights without having some kind of frosted glass diffuser?"

I used the cheaper Amazon LEDs supplied by EBESTauto. They were a few bucks cheaper than other LEDs supplied by different venders. I couldn't find any technical differences. I figured I would give the cheapest LEDs a try knowing I could always upgrade later.

As far as the question: "can these be flood light lights?".... I believe a flood designation can be obtained by using a reflector or a lens. I think a lens is the most common way to create a flood light. These lights use a "wide-angle reflector cup, that diffuse the light source to cover a wider range." As long as the light source is spread out to some standard angle they can be labeled a flood light. PLEASE, someone else with more knowledge than me, please chime in!

I can say, I back into my driveway several hundred feet at night. I also have used then in the woods to back up to avoid trees etc. They have worked for me so far. Personally, I cannot justify the more expensive LEDs at this point.

EDITED:
After additional research the EBESTauto have a "Beam Angle of 120 degree, wide spread beam (twice more than others)." The KAWALL have a "Beam: flood beam of 60 degree."

Flood 120-150 degrees
Spot 15- 90 degrees

Now I'm really confused!!! LOL

That is a nice kit. I wish the fit was a little better, and it had a red reflector in the unused space.

I put a set of these on last fall.
KC HiLiTES 519 LED Backup Flood Light System (C Series C2 Pair), 1 Pack https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B075ZM19FX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_udZuEb2E6HG9F

I used these brackets to mount them.
EAG 20W 2x2 LED Pod Light with Rear Bumper Mount Fit for 18-20 Jeep Wrangler JL https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07QRF8WDR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4lZuEb1NRP2QQ

I used a Curt harness to tie into the trailer wiring and connect them to the reverse line.
