Frustrated...what would you do?

Ahh Jesus dam oops, I am sorry for the comment like that but you got what you paid for, a very cheap lift that cause you more trouble than it worth to be honest. I have found that cheap parts are cheap parts, !I think you bought the bare minimum lift and was install by bubba's back yard truck monkey. I have found any lift by spacers on the springs is a raid on your wallet, a 60 grand truck is in my opinion worth more than 500$ lift if you are serious about going on trails. I know for a fact trust me.

I had the dealership do the lift and alignment. I'm taking back in tomorrow morning, but all of you are correct with the steering wheel not being straight that's how I new the alignment was off. But it didn't happen till after I put about 100 miles on the vehicle. But do you think I should try and have the dealership give me a new lift or try to squeeze an after market bumper out of the deal, or should I just get it aligned and trim the bumper myself? Or will this alignment mitigate all rubbing to include going off road?

Silly question, but I gotta ask, since you've put 100 miles on since leaving the dealer... Do you have a teenager, who might have grabbed your key, went on a joy ride and smacked a curb, really hard?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but as others have already hinted, your dealer done hosed you.
A few questions:
1) Who decided on the Rough Country lift and why? I am surprised your Jeep dealer would install anything other than a Mopar lift. My guess is he has some outside shop do lift installs for him. He makes profit off of you as does the shop that did the install. Whoever did it is a knucklehead. This is why I did my own lift install on my JL, 3 other JLs, and my daughter's JK. Also, Rough Country is more of a budget minded you get what you pay for lift. Still, if installed properly should not have given you the issues you are experiencing.
2) What is the offset of those wheels?
3) How much did the dealer charge you for the lift and install? Regardless, he should be responsible for making everything right. You should not be cutting or trimming anything. It's quite obvious these guys are amateurs. If it were me, I'd make the dealer put your Gladiator back to stock and I'd demand a full refund and then find a reputable shop or dealer to do your install and I would steer clear of the budget brands. Asking for a different lift from your current dealer likely won't solve anything and might even make matters worse. I wouldn't trust them but then again that's why I did my work and my friend's work myself.

I will post an update hopefully with better news. But I did watch them put the lift on at the Dodge dealership. I've only ever had Rubicon express lifts and never had any issues in the past with install. Was hoping to save time and the busted knuckels this time around just because my free time is limited. We shall see I willl post an update this afternoon

Thanks for the photos, this is what I am expecting mine to look like after I take it in this morning. Did you trim the bottom part of the front fender it looks like it by the pics, but can't tell for sure. Looks really good. I'm going to give the dealer one more shot at fixing the issue before I request a refund for the lift and have it out back to stock. I'll keep the tires and rims until I get myself a quality lift and have it put on else where. Again thank you for the photos.

Wow that’s incredible being you have a 1 inch taller lift and 2 inch smaller tire which equals 3 inch difference and still too tight. I never realized the Rubicon was that much bigger in fender wheel room.

It's not the lift that is causing the rubbing problem, it's the size of the wheel and offset. That wheel is a 20x10 and the offset is -25. Even if you got another lift, you'd still run into the same problem. It would work better with a less wide wheel (9" or lower) and a more positive offset (no more than -12, but 0 and above would be better).

Remove those pieces between the bumper and fender (15 minute fix)and straighten the steering wheel (5 minute fix).

Thanks for the info, I'm at the dealer now I'm going to see what they can do. Looks like I'm going to have to request either new wheels or a different front bumper, or tell them to put it back to stock and ask for a refund for the lift and wheels. We shall see what happens. Thanks again.
